Pro-Choice or otherwise, nobody advocates the killing of babies. I am a friend who is a great-grandson of a Syrian refugee with conflicts with Turkey that go well beyond the 1800s. Historically Syria has conflicts with other nations and among themselves. Does the United States really have the power to "fix" the centuries-old, endless problems that go on in the Arab nations?

Research indicates the conflict between the Turks and the Kurds is territorial. Since the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the Kurds have been trying to create their own nation, Kurdistan. The Turks are resisting the effort.

This puts the United States stuck between two allies. The United States and Turkey, which are NATO partners, have long been close allies. But the Kurds and the United States also have a long history of co-operation.
