Sometimes it's a matter of holding your nose and voting. Other times, it is the dilemma of choosing between two qualified candidates. West Virginia tends to be conservative regardless of the political party. I am glad I did not have to deal with the choices some of the other states are stuck with. Abracadabra

It would never be an option for me to not vote even if I am not totally thrilled with the choices. I have great grandmothers and great-aunts who were jailed because they fought for the 19th Amendment. I would be dishonoring their struggles if I declined to vote. I have the option of visiting their offices, writing letters, and making phone calls regardless of the choices. I have ancestors, my father and my son who fought in wars to make sure we have a choice. No vote is ever wasted. /SIZE] Abracadabra

Wars are going to happen regardless of who is President. My son joined the Military during the Clinton Era while 9/11 and the Gulf War that followed happened when Bush Jr. was President. This war has been passed on to Obama and Trump. My Father took part in the Korean War which started with Truman and ended with Eisenhower. He was also a soldier in the Vietnam War which started with Eisenhower and ended with Ford. There is no guarantee that the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon would have never happened if Al Gore had been elected or if Dukakis would have defeated Bush Senior. Abracadabra

There is nothing wrong with exercising one's right to vote. I have certainly had to make a choice between two unsavory candidates but one of them is going to win regardless of how I vote. More often especially in West Virginia, the dilemma is between two equally qualified candidates who are both good, decent human beings. Since I do frequently take the train to Washington D.C. for lobbying, I have learned to work with Congress and Senators from both parties. I remember lobbying with our Senator about the drug problem in West Virginia while my lobbying partner presented a bill on prison and sentencing reform. The bill was sponsored by Congressional Reps and Senators from both parties and Trump signed it into law. Both parties are on board with the drug problem. In fact, Melania Trump just visited West Virginia for a meeting with the state and local committees dealing with the drug problem in WV. I tend not to pay attention to the mud slinging and propaganda and stick to the issues. Abracadabra

Trump and the Republicans are terrified of Pelosi? Pelosi claims that the Republicans are terrified of her and Waters because they are "effective" female legislators from California. That is a complete joke. Maxine Waters' great accomplishment in Congress was to get a bill passed naming a post office. She rants and raves about harassing Republican instead of working with them. Pelosi rants about illegal immigration while offering no solution. Her main agenda is Trump Derangement Syndrome for her own personal gain. It is legislators like these two women who did more to get Trump elected than his opponents. Abracadabra

Up against Clinton when I voted trump was the better choice. Up against Clinton NOW. trump is the better choice. The democrats are self destructing now with racial, border stuff. Someone needs to step forward for the citizens ( as a whole ) & eliminate corporate government. Biden is more of the same old corporate rule along with trump. Party On!
