In Canada that word is considered a racial slur and offensive.

THE WORD IS DEFINITELY OFFENSIVE.

The point is that Native Americans in general and women in particular find it offensive. The term has been used to demean Native women for ccenturies...Back in the day it was synonymous with "whore". Native. For instance, In colonial times, White women were scarce. Men often had a Native woman to work, unpaid, and to warm his bed. Of course, many children were born of these unions. Once his business was up and running, he would send to the old country for a "proper" wife and throw out his "squaw" and all her children....the girls of that union also called Squaw and considered less than Human and not worth educating. Native women have been treated as inferior beings, to be taken advantage of......a free pass for and abusers.....as long as they are called "Squaw" they are disrespected.

I think it should be noted that Hiram's use of the term "Squaw" was part of a string of racist slurs, so when Liszt copied the "Squaw" term, he was well aware that it was racist and now denies it only because I called him on it. I have wondered why Hiram's Racist and Misogynist verbiage isn't commented on by the men on this site.......I thought it was an American thing, that this kind of language is the norm......I get called a hater and nasty for pointing it out, so it's not that they don't notice. Bright Smile commented on it in a very nice way.....but Hiram hasn't responded.....his silence is very loud, Maybe he uses language like that to get attention.......

So in your world, calling people by racist and sexist slurs is a loving act, but calling you out for it, is hatred.......Sure thing......

My blog is closed to 3 people......that's hardly everyone with opposing views. And most here do the same......Bob and Dan for instance don't allow me to comment on their blogs....I notice Bob has a blog up about the same subject.....I wonder how many people with opposing views he has blocked The reason you are blocked from my blog and probably others is the hateful racism and Misogyny you constantly spout.......If you are still pretending that it's not your words, but our "interpretation" that is hateful, you will probably continue to be blocked.

I've never used the word 'squaw' but I honestly didn't know that it was an offensive word, so thanks for bringing this to our attention.
