 Do both ! Encourage everyone to plant one tree. The information and research coming out of the Space program has been utilized in many areas to improve daily living activities.

 They ruin all life on our planet - flora, fauna, and human beings. That has to be STOPPED first...... Space can wait. The Moon and Mars are not looking forward to be ruined also. That's what I think.

I live on the British Columbia Coast....In a vast temperate Rain-Forest, which I have worked to protect from greedy multinational lumber companies my whole life.......watched the destruction up close.....when was the last time you flew over a clearcut, watched your beloved islands destroyed, slogged through the mud with a pick in one hand and the other reaching for yet another fir seedling from the pack on your back? Or maybe you were with us as we camped out in the rain protesting yet another clear-cut?

Your assumption that I'm "all talk and no action" and calling this blog "bitching", is just small and ugly.....next time I delete....

Reminds me of a Christmas card I designed and sold at a market....about 20 years ago, when a logging company named "Raven Lumber" had swooped in and clearcut hundreds of acres just months before.......It was a pen drawing of a clear-cut....nothing but stumps as far as the eye could see....birds and squirrels, wolves and cougars heading into the horizon.......and one tiny fir tree standing....I had coloured only that one tree and put a gold star on top......and it said "Have a-Raven Christmas"..........They didn't sell as well as my more traditional cards, but the interesting thing was that everyone was very emotional about that card.....they either loved it or hated it....a 50/50 split......

 There was a New Zealand lumber company very aggressively logging here on the coast about 15 years ago called Fletcher Challenge......I made a sculpture of a flasher with a chain-saw blade instead of an erect penis and named him "LETCHER CHALLENGE" I got a lot of publicity for that one, some of it very angry......
