Three very different images that I enjoyed today........The sailboats/rainbow taken here a couple of days ago....I don't understand why, but rainbows often appear in that same location....harbour facing East looking out on the mainland mountains.......through a gap in the sand-spit and the outer islands.

THAT FIRST PICTURE IS GREAT. IT REMINDS ME OF THE DANCES WE HAVE SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR. MANY OF OUR COUPLES AND SINGLES WELL OVER 80 ARE AMAZING. I DON'T DANCE BUT GO TO THE TWO FREE ONES ANYHOW JUST TO WATCH, MEET FRIENDS AND LISTEN TO THE LIVE MUSIC.

Great pics. The first on reminded me of my friend Margaret who I grew up with. We haven't seen each other in many years, but still reach out every day on FB (face) (book)

Love those two ladies dancing their little hearts out. Good music and dancing, my kind of fun.

Always cheers me to see a pretty rainbow in the sky. Lovely photo.

The first picture makes me laugh and wish to join them. So many years went by since I danced last! Great rainbow photo..... It's a peaceful scenery with the charming touches of the rainbow colours.....

I dance by myself .......My favourite album to dance to is Keith Jarret's Koln Concert.........

I sure miss sailing......When I was very pregnant with my son, I had an 16 ft. rowing boat and I was having problems rowing it......my big belly made my stroke very short......so I decided to rig it for sailing.......I lashed an oar to the stern for steering, made a mast and fastened to the forward thwart with a carpenter's screw-clamp........I used a sheet for the sail and attached it to the mast. If I needed to lower the sail, I would have to undo the clamp and lower the mast.....not a big deal, I thought......So I got in my boat and set off. At first it was lovely.....then, when I was quite far from land, the wind increased and I lost control..............

The thing I had not considered was how much my center of gravity had shifted......as had my sense of adventure.....I couldn't get to the bow of the now thrashing boat to take down the mast and stow it..........and I couldn't turn towards shore because the new sharp waves.........I was scared.....My neighbour sailed by in his yacht, I yelled at him and his friends....Waved and called "HELP"........They came towards me fast, took a look and yelled "YOU'RE FINE" and sailed on......I managed to maneuver my boat to spill the wind and turn and get enough courage to get the mast/sail down.....I rowed home through the chop and surf.
