Finally, tonight, it rained......It's been a long drought......It reminds me of the book "Out of Africa" by Karen Blixen, where she describes a drought....the waiting for the rain and when it finally comes, it's orgasmic......

Our "rain event" by the radar looked as if an ark might be necessary..... NOTHING on the ground... a few drops on the windshield that's it.

We had rain on Friday but don't think it was very much. Tonight it is raining again and I can hear the rain pattering on my bedroom window. Since the cooler temperatures came on Friday leaves on the maple trees are finally starting to change. Yea rain!

HOW RIGHT YOU ARE! WE WENT MOST OF SPRING AND SUMMER WITH NO RAIN AND WHEN IT FINALLY CAME A FEW WEEKS AGO I STOOD ON THE BALCONY AND JUST WATCHED AND WATCHED AS IF I HAD NEVER SEEN ANY BEFORE. WE ARE STILL SHORT, STILL HAVE RESTRICTIONS BUT THE SITUATION HAS IMPROVED SOMEWHAT.

One things for sure, we get plenty of rain here in Ireland, sometimes too much. Although I can imagine how lovely it must be to get a good rainfall after a long dry spell.
