THE BIG 18!!

This is a photo of me tonight......I live on the same property as my daughter and her family......It's her son's 18th birthday and he's having a party.......My daughter, her husband and their youngest child have gone to spend the night at a resort.....They insist that I have no responsibility for what goes on at their house tonight, but that's ridiculous.....Two of my grandsons will be there as well as many of their life-long friends, all who I have looked after at some point in their lives, some of them as students......I know all their parents........... They are responsible kids, mostly.....as far as I know, but .....I'm kind of nervous .......They know I'm the responsible adult within hearing range......I feel like Aughra, ......My daughter and other parents told me to phone if there is a problem, but at what point? And they say I have no responsibility.......I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight......

The most difficult part of the Aughra costume is her third eye.....Probably the best solution would be to make a mold of your face from gauze and plaster that you can purchase at the drug store......I used to teach a mask-making workshop..........You have to breathe through a straw for a few minutes while it hardens.......It fits your face perfectly and then you can build your desired face on that using acrylic pastes and paints etc......you could then make her third eye with reflective materials.........oooh.....that would be really cool......you could probably find a cheap wig that would work.....maybe your girlfriend could be another character from the Dark Crystal........there are so many great ones in the movie..... the two of you could be Skeksis......

Ha ha Sparkle...you are the big old ogre keeping an eye on your grandson's party. Love your costume. Hope you fan at the party.

Hope the party went off without a hitch, which I'm sure it did, and fun was had by all.

They are young adults...........at some point we were all there as part of the "learning process"

I THINK I WOULD LEAVE TOWN IN A CASE LIKE THAT. HOW DID IT GO?

There was no problems ....I finally went to sleep around 2.......At that point all the lights were still on there was loud music, but nothing untoward....... was remembering these people across the street from me when my son was that age....The parents would go way for the weekend and the son and his friends would play "chicken" all hours of the night.....I could hear them yelling and hollering and cars screeching.......I went out one night to see if everyone was OK and this is what they were doing.....They were staggering drunk..... One guy would lay face down on their stomachs, arms and legs spread, on the hood of a car. There car was full of guys yahooing.....the driver would try to get the guy spread-eagled on the hood to fly off the car by starting and stopping quickly, swerving from side to side etc.......Our houses were right beside a 2 steep hills and the junction of 4 roads.......The drivers would turn the corners as sharply as possible while accelerating up a hill, swerving and fish-tailing.........I was terrified someone was going to get badly hurt, but apparently, they all survived...... My guys had reassured me that the would never drive drunk, but best-laid plans etc.......
