Sparkle you know that the national flower of The Ukraine is the sunflower. It is such a pretty bright flower. Of course the oil of the sunflower is widely used and also the seeds. I really like your photos of the sunflowers.

They are sunflowers we grew a couple of years ago, and I posted them in support of the people of Ukraine...

When I saw pictures of, or the actual sunflower, I thought of a story about sunflowers that Star told.
Now, they make me think of the people of Ukraine. I changed our face book page head picture and profile picture into sunflowers in support of the people of Ukraine.

Sparkle I kind of wondered if that was the reason for posting photos of sunflowers. Good post!

Such a beautiful cheerful flower. I hope with all my heart the sun shines again for the people of the Ukraine.

I love the Sunflower. Years ago, I was cohabitation with a man who tossed me aside for another woman. (a practicing alcoholic who later died from cirrhosis of the liver) I suppose she needed an enabler and he needed someone that he could control. Nevertheless, before I left - I planted just about every inch of his yard with sunflower seeds. Months later when I drove by his house, Sunflowers were popping up everywhere. When Life gives you El Toro DooDoo, use it as fertilizer to grow Sunflowers. Lots and lots of Sunflowers. LOL!

Ironically, my son and I were in Virginia Beach running an 8K race on the day of her demise. Apparently we both move on - and poor Gemini Rising was left all alone and he still is.
