SPEAKING OF LOVE...

Right now, on Valentine's Day 2022, when war and plague still rules the world, in the US, there are 150 bills working their way through state legislatures that censor LGBTQ+ their families....The Florida one aptly named the ""Don't Say Gay" bill......The cruel stupidity of it....It's unconscionable.....It gives citizens the ability to sue teachers for acknowledging gender non-conformity in the classroom.

Looks like Christian Sharia to me.

There is also the Log Cabin Republicans for Gay Conservatives. I am a member of that organization as an ally. Anti-gay legislation usually gets shot down by the Supreme Court

About ten years ago, Rob Portman, was a GOP Ohio Senator many thought would be chosen in Mitt Romney's presidential campaign as his vice president. Portman son came out of the closet, and the fact that Portman changed his tune about LGBTQ and supported his son, cost him the spot in the GOP presidential ticket. It is a mystery to me why some lesbian, gay and bisexual Americans are loyal to the GOP.

Love is love in many shapes and form, and should never be condemned.

All the 150 anti-Gay bills are Republican...The Republican party fought the legalization of same-sex marriage and block every move for equality for Gay and Trans citizens.....

Do you remember in the early 2000s, there was a Gay organization that got wind of several Republican Party leaders that had introduced anti-Gay bills being secretly Gay and outed them?...This went on for years......seemed like every month there was yet another Republican bigwig that was outed..... Apparently, they were overcompensating for their Gay proclivities by voting against their own....Or they were in very deep denial.......many of them married to women and hooking up with men on the side...Some of them flatly denied it even though there was plenty of evidence.....

I can't pretend to understand same sex love but by no means should gay folk be rejected - we all seek acceptance don't we? In my twenties I shared a house with two gay men and sometimes went clubbing with them. I can honestly say they were respectful and treated me kindly. I really enjoyed their company as well as that of their companions. I felt safe in their presence which was a welcome respite from unwanted/unsolicited harrassment by testosterone driven men.

There is a saying that every time a Republican politician starts screaming about the gay agenda, we find out he has a Grindr account or a secret boyfriend. The list of outed gay Republicans who introduced anti-gay legislation is very long.

Some of the questions happening in the various State Legislations - What age should a minor have transgender surgery? Is the military the time to really consider transgender surgery. Should a transgendered woman who is still biologically male compete in women's sport? Are taxpayers required to pay for transgender surgery for an incarcerated person?

We really don't need the scenario of a young child who may not fully developed sexual identify getting their penis removed. That should be a decision that the child makes when able to make a mature decision. Women have been bypassed for scholarships and grants due to competition from biological males who do have a physical advantage.

Banning Gay Marriages has been blown out of the water by the Supreme Court. There are laws that assure equal opportunity for Job Opportunity, Housing, Ad Infinium for the LGBTQ. There are many constitutional conservatives in the GOP. This means Constitutional protections for all citizens regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability. Sometimes it is easier to promote positive change from the inside versus the outside. The idea that one party is evil and the other party is good is ridiculous We are not cookie cutter people regardless of the labels..

I see that your belief in "Magick" has influenced your ideas about how Social Issues will be ameliorated/solved.

The main reason trans people want/need/prefer to start making decisions regarding their gender identity is that starting hormone therapy before puberty is crucial to their well being .....The hormone blockers are crucial at this age to top and/or slow down the development of secondary sex changes, like voice, breasts etc......I know a couple of trans people who got stuck in puberty for years as they fought for their rights over their own body....When a person is ready for a certain surgery shouldn't be decided by anyone else.

It's incredibly naive to think that laws do or can assure equal opportunity....How are those laws implemented in actual social/business situations? ...
