Graphite on 4 by 4 ft. canvas .....preliminary drawing for a painting.....

Visually interesting! Reminds me of the mandala patterns I've looked at when shopping for decor recently.

The design would make a great alter cloth

I love the design, really nice.

A great design piece, I'd love to see the painting when you finish it.

Interesting. I hope you will share the finished painting with us. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Very interesting! "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

|
Interesting. I also would like to see the colorful painting.

THAT MAKES ME THINK OF A STAINED GLASS WINDOW IN A CHURCH. WITH BRIGHT COLORS, OF COURSE.

Sacred Geometry is universal....every religion has used aspects of it, but Islam exceeds all others....Mathematics was conceived in the Middle East and Islam doesn't allow religious images.....a pictorial likeness of Allah is considered blasphemy.........So they developed Sacred geometry.........It's quite mind-boggling how beautiful the work is and how much it's neglected in the Western world as a form of art and expressions of beauty......Perhaps Christians believe that Allah might rub off on them if they studied Islamic religious art......... I first encountered it at Expo 67 in Montreal.......I was floored......I couldn't believe that it was so alien to the West.........
