 The grandkids that live on the same property as me.....2017.....Not so long ago, but a throwback to a more innocent time.....the tire-swing is still there....

 I love it! Outside, tire swing, and barefoot. What could be better?
My grandson, his wife, and sister (all from CA) were here Tuesday evening, with his 20 month old daughter, for us to meet. His first comment was, "Wow, Grandma, I had forgotten how beautiful and wide open it is out here." Sadly, due to the rainy weather, we couldn't be outside for his little girl to run and play like he did when he was little.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

 Very sweet picture of your two grandchildren Sparkle. Those trees in the background are so lovely. Where I grew up in Alberta the trees I remember most were poplar, bam, pine and spruce.

That's great that you got to visit with family....even if it was indoors....I imagine it was nice to get affirmation of the beauty of your surroundings.....

Those are fruit trees.......Isn't there a lot of Birch in Alberta?......I loved Birch in my childhood in Norway......Birch doesn't do well here, the Woodpeckers destroy them.....I don't think the Birch is equipped to handle those Pileated Woodpeckers.......I saw a nesting pair in the forest last week......They are so big and strong and vigorous and noisy.......Once I saw a couple of the males having a mid-air battle about 10 ft. in front of me.......brutal.....and glorious......I snapped a couple of photos, but they were just a blur.

It was nice. When I see the beauty of your area, and the mountains and oceans, I tend to view our area as flat and blah. It's good to look at it through a different point of view.
