I walk by these guys most days.......and I always look up to see the crowns against the sky......through every kind of weather....their steadfast presence always reassuring......

Nice shot of trees which are really towering above you.

No, I wasn't laying on the ground, the base of the tree has huge ridges from the roots.........What I was doing was standing on the roots and leaning into the tree with my arms raised, with the camera steadied by resting it against the trunk......looking straight up at view finder.....The tree is in a park near my house and after I had finished taking the photo, I saw a young woman staring at me.....like wtf is she doing? And I realized my feet were pretty far apart, on different root ridges, and I was steadying myself with my knees against the tree, so I was basically riding the tree with my arms stretched over my head, steadying the camera by leaning my elbows in the lumpy bark.......I took several photos.......LOL I must have looked very odd, especially if my small camera wasn't visible..........

Oh my goodness! How awesome is that?! It is almost dizzying to look up like that. I would probably trip over everything on the ground because I'd be looking up..... guess I would just have to stand still, and probably lean against one of the trunks.

Yes, home indeed......The Japanese have a term "Shinrin Yoku".....Directly translated, it means Forest Bathing......spending time in the forest reduces stress and anxiety and gives a feeling of calm.....
