HARD TO SEE CHRISTIANS STEALING OUR SOLSTICE CELEBRATIONS I have laugh at the Christians in the USA who are a majority....where every President they have had was a Christian.....pretending that Jesus was born Dec 25th so they could usurp the pagan traditions of Solstice.........Before Jesus was even a sparkle in the eye of Jehovah, Humans have celebrated the return of the light.....When the days start getting longer... There is a stone structure in Ireland that is about 8, 500 year old.....It was built so that on the solstice, the sun would shine down the middle corridor.....it was engineered for the Solstice......as were the many standing stone structures of the ancients over the world.......... Pretty much every tradition the Christians celebrate at Christmas, are stolen from pagan tradition. The Christians murdered, rap3d and colonized and forced their foolishness on the pagans of the world.....Killed and tortured and destroyed them in the name of a legend, an imaginary overlord who conceived himself .....or so the fable goes who they pretend was born on Dec. 25......

What Sparkle has stated here is a matter of recorded history not myth and legend. I can't help laughing when some Christians believe that those who don't share their beliefs are "wretched"! Happy New Year Sparkle!

ODD YOU SHOULD BRING UP THE SOLTICE. THAT IS WHAT I CELEBRATE THIS TIME OF YEAR, TREE AND ALL. THE CHURCH DECIDED TO PUT THE BIRTH OF JESUS ON DECEMBER 25 TO COINCIDE WITH THE ROMAN FEASTS OF SATURNE, SATURNALIA SO THE CHANGE WOULD BE MORE ACCEPTABLE TO CONVERTS.

I cannot see that true "pagans" can't celebrate winter solstice and summer solstice anymore since Christians came out of the dark. December 21 marks the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, winter solstice. For centuries, cultures from Scandinavia to Asia have recognized the solstice as the marker of slowly extending days, the end of harvests and the potential for active evil spirits. December 21, Vancouver, Canada, holds up with one of its most festive events that takes thousands to the streets on Granville Island and in Yaletown to light up the darkest night. I am sure that centuries ago solstice was celebrated in smaller groups and different ways. You,too, can celebrate on December 21 according to the old tradition and neglect Christmas. It is worth mentioning Yalda Night, solstice celebration on December 21 in Iran. Yalda means birth, and it refers to the birth of Mitra, the mythological goddess of light. That's not what I'm saying at all.....I was responding to a blog stating that Pagan and Atheists are blaspheming Christmas........that this time of year belongs only to Christians........ I was pointing out that for centuries, the Christian church forced people all over the world to follow their beliefs or be tortured and killed ......Where I live, the First Nations peoples were forbidden to practice their own celebrations and their art and regalia, their language and culture were stolen by the church......The children separated from their families and sent to Christian schools where they were tortured and abused to remove their language and culture,,,,,,,This has happened all over the Earth.....including to my own Saami ancestors.......... This violence and unspeakably evil arrogance of the Christians is now recognized and the peoples of the world are reclaiming their own cultural inheritance based on the natural phenomena of the movement of the Earth........and Christians cry blasphemy ......that Pagans and Atheists are STEALING their Christmas..........I think it's high time to acknowledge that Christianity's reign of terror is on it's last legs...Their imaginary carpenter has been nailed to a piece of wood for more than 2000 years.......enough is enough..

It actually has to be what it was before old guys wrote down some unbelievable stuff that at best stretches the imagination and contradicts scientific possibility. All one has to do is think free of lifetime weekly peer pressure indoctrination and be ones own person. Then you are truly FREE. Christians are victims of guilt, unworthiness, shame when born all promoted by the organization the parents adhere to. So strict that they meet weekly to promote the rules and keep the underlings from thinking realistically. Cult. That is the way it IS. Christians will tell you there is no evolution. Ask them how many have witnessed a talking snake.

I have never owned a TV..... have been getting my news on the internet for over a decade. Mostly on You Tube........I agree that it is a treasure trove......It is also a dumpster.......It's important to learn to know the difference. There is also a vast treasure trove of educational information on the internet that can help you distinguish truth from fiction.......Google...."How to distinguish truth from fiction" .....There are several sites that evaluate news sources, like Reuters Fact Check.....or Media Bias/Fact Check......
