I'M LOSING IT......

I have 2 pairs of Blundstone boots....one pair is brown and older....I wear them for working in the garden, on my forest/beach rambles and they are pretty scuffed up. The other pair is black and much newer....always well polished and spiffy looking....I wear them when I go out in public..... Yesterday, I came home after going to my 's property and spending time outside with them..... I discovered that I was wearing one black and one brown boot.......eek!.....

Today, around mid morning. I was fetching a scarf out of my hall closet and there on a shelf right at eye-level, as I was looking at the stack of folded scarves, was a beautiful shiny orange sphere....so out-of-place ........I stared at it for what seemed like minutes before I realized it was an orange that I had meant to eat earlier. It had disappeared and then I had forgotten that I wanted to eat it.......somehow.......

Scary stuff......portends of future brain mush........

I did however, find my sock. I lost it last Spring......I had finally found the perfect pair of socks and paid more for them than I felt comfortable with...$25 for ankle-socks......then one disappeared.....I searched high and low.....Today I got out my Winter flannel sheet and there was my sock under the elastic........Made my day......that and the last piece of Apple Crisp.

Great blog, Sparkle! I don't yet lose things, but I misplace my clothes, then go through the closet and cannot believe that a blouse, I wore 2 days ago, is not where it should be and even not where it should not be. That happens to pants, skirts, and, and....... Or I am 100% sure that I brought a favorite dress and pair of shoes with me from Germany the last time but probably did not. LOL At the moment I miss a sandal. Why is the left one on the rack and the right one not in sight? I looked under the bed, the couch, checked the bathrooms. Have given up for now. As long I don't call somebody and ask whether they have seen me, it's ok.

The joys of growing old. Great blog Sparkle. I hate when I can't find something that I thought I put in a place that I would remember to look there.

Trying to manage taking care of Joe, getting things ready to sell in our booths, and the normal household chores is more difficult some days, for the very things you just mentioned. Where DID I put this or that? And I know I thought when I put it down that I'd easily remember where.
I guess I'll be ok though, as long as I don't forget where Joe is..... or myself.

I will never understand how so many socks go missing . I have four on the missing list at the moment. Maybe some of them will turn up in the next wash.

I have gone out with odd socks, earrings and gloves, as yet never shoes.
I am gifted at misplacing things too, and getting worse as I get older Lol

NOT TO WORRY, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. TWO WEEKS AGO I HAD TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB AND HAD TO USE THE LADDER. I BENT DOWN TO PUT THE OLD BULB IN A SECTION OF A PIECE OF KITCHEN FURNITURE AND THAT WAS THAT. THEN A FEW DAYS LATER I WANTED TO TAKE THE BULB FOR RECYCLING AND COULDN'T FIND IT. I LOOKED EVERYWHERE, IN THAT PIECE OF FURNITURE, THE CABINETS, ALL THE DRAWERS. NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. THEN TWO DAYS AGO I MOVED THE FURNITURE AND THERE WAS THE BULB, ON THE FLOOR BEHIND IT. A GREAT RELIEF BUT GOT ME TO WONDERING.

As I so often say, getting old isn't for sissies. Bette Davis said that and I truly believe she was right!

It is amazing how things do get lost and then you find them and remember, yup that is where I left it

You know, it's kind of reassuring to know that I'm not alone in this.

Maybe they are in your bank safe?
