I don't see them often, but I hear them in the trees chirping....pretending they are birds I suppose.......I once painted a picture of a tree-frog sitting on a branch way up in a tree, swinging his feet, singing a song, with a Paul-Michel Basquiat crown askew on his head......

It smells divine.....I bring a newly opened one into the house every couple of days .....Back when I had a little business making re-purposed clothing, I would go to all the estate auctions in Vancouver and Victoria and buy unopened trunks.that often contained amazing old clothes.......My luckiest find was a complete WW1 flight suit.....all leather, complete with knee-high boots, leather helmet and goggles like Snoopiy's.....

Back to the rose.....Yes, In one trunk was a dozen pairs of men's silk pyjamas.and several hand-made bamboo casting-rods and flies.....The silk in those pyjamas felt just like a rose-petal.......I dyed the pyjamas in rose colours and wore nothing else for the next year......

That little frog looks cosy and safe in that beautiful rose! Just looking at the picture, brings the wonderful perfume into my mind!
