There are two seriously disturbing aspects to this tweet. 1. The original OANN tweet was from Kristian Rouz quoting an ultra right wing blog site (The Conservative treehouse) which published the lie without any evidence; they pulled it straight out of their arseholes. Rouz used to work for Sputnik, a Russian propaganda channel established by the Russian government-owned news agency Rossiya Segodnya. Sputnik employees were behind a massive Soviet disinformation campaign last year posing as hundreds of 'independent' news sources on Facebook and spreading disinformation through them. These Sputnik employees had their pages banned for spreading propaganda. MacFarquhar of the New York Times described the aims of Sputnik thus "The fundamental purpose of dezinformatsiya, or Russian disinformation, experts said, is to undermine the official version of events — even the very idea that there is a true version of events — and foster a kind of policy paralysis." 2. From the last line above it is clear that the purpose of this campaign is to provide propaganda for OANN which tRump then retweets and thus ensures that many trump supporters buy into his tweets. This validates the dezinformatsiya, doing the Russian propaganda machine's work for them.
