HALLELUJAH!!! Just listened the Saweto Gospel Choir singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujuah with tears running down my cheeks. ......A group of African musicians in Australia singing a Canadian song that was written facetiously and then reinterpreted by Christians as praise to their God...so heart-felt and beautiful that it caused a quarantined Canadian Atheist to weep for the World and the beauty and tragedy of the Human condition............. |

Very well said...." the beauty and tragedy of the human condition " ( sigh )

Familiar with the song, but not the Choir, so I looked them up to read about them and listened to this song by them. Absolutely powerful. Music can bridge gaps and touch lives that no mere words can. Thank you for sharing this, I really enjoyed it. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I was listening to them sing in the Italian Version. They sing Hallelujah the same as in English.

Imagine is also a good song in troubled times when people should come together. Without obstacles in the way.
