Hahaha, funny, but taking a good look at this kid, I bet the woman would win!

Courtesy is certainly losing ground.

I hold the door for folks, male or female, if I'm closest to the door, and I always say, "Thank you," if someone holds the door for me.

I remember coming around the corner on a busy street in the small town where I winter, just as a fellow who looked to be in his mid twenties, let out a string of expletive deleted utterances. When he saw me, he was very embarrassed and apologized profusely...... Nice!!

I don't think it's dead. Some people still open the door for others and I do the same as Rocket.

When I asked my father why he decided to emigrate, he told me that the Old World had become too set in it's ways, Society had too many old rules and he wanted to live in a New World, where a new society could be built from scratch.........This was in the 50s, mind you when Norway was still recovering from the 5 year occupation.

But as I was growing up in the New World, I observed my father's disgust and irritation with the lack of civility and manners, the careless and destructive attitudes towards Nature, Women and Institutions of Literacy and Art.....etc......He would come home from work and rant about it. The actual manifestations of the freedom he longed for was often at odds with his upbringing and training. He never sat when a lady was standing......which led to some humorous and sometimes embarrassing situations in the Frontier society he found himself in.......

Yeah, that's his schtick....that's why he can tell this joke.. If a really strong-looking tough guy told this joke, it would crash......If you look closely, you will see that he's actually pretty pumped.........LOL

I noticed that also, his neck and shoulders kind of give that away, but he still looks like a nerd, lol.

Oh, you are right, if some rugged looking guy did this, it wouldn't be funny at all.

Some of the women may have done it to themselves. None of the ladies have.

Can you relate to the difference between the two? I didn't think so.

Can you relate to the difference between a man and a stuffed shirt? I didn't think so.
