My windows must be cleaner than I thought........One of the reasons we don't want a dog on the property......deer stay away from dogs.

It's lovely isn't it, to have wild creatures around...........Do they look like kangaroos to you?......A friend who just came back from Australia was struck by the resemblance .....of course their hind quarters and stance are different.....I would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.....and Patagonia and and......maybe next lifetime. I have a close friend whose daughter and 2 grand kids live in Australia and she described her travelling to me.......I haven't flown out of Canada for a couple of decades. I never did like airports, now they sound torturous. I would try teleportation if it wasn't for those pesky flies.

Beautiful photos of the deer, doesn't look at all like you took the pictures through the window, it's as if you can reach out and touch them.

We don't feed the deer here because it makes them more vulnerable to predators, but there is plenty of their natural food......they don't need any extras........Several years ago I was browsing on Salal berries ....just leisurely picking and eating, enjoying the bird sounds and the warm sun on my head, when I realized there was a deer on the other side of the bush also eating berries......they don't eat the leaves, but daintily pick the berry bunches. We just stood like that,
beside each other eating for a long time before she moved melted into the forest.......what a treat.

The deer used to LOVE to eat up my garden. Now, I live in a smaller place and contend with the squirrels, blue jays and cardinals going after my sunflowers.
That's what fences are for.......
