turkey vultures there have always been the occasional sighting of a turkey vulture around the Blue Hills. the last several years they have been seen over an ever increasing range. caught sight of that enormous black wingspan across the street yesterday, lazily floating to Earth, about 100 yards distant. even at a distance, the wingspan is most impressive. have never had a close encounter, or chance meeting with one. I guess it is good to never be in a position where they come to you! |
