Pinky Lee

Does anybody remember Pinky Lee? I was watching a program last night on the History Channel about television shows of the fifties and he was mentioned and they showed a short clip of him. Gosh, its been years and years since I had even thought of Pinky Lee. He always reminded of Speck Rhodes on "The Porter Wagner Show" as they both wore coats which looked like they were made out of the same material that blankets are made from. But Pinky had more teeth and was more suitable for a 's show host rather than Speck who was geared for the country-western crowd. Speck also entertained the audience between sets by Porter Wagner(And The Wagon Masters) and Dolly Parton with his jokes and his homegrown sense of humor. Saturday nights of the fifties....A place in time in which yesterday is gone forever.

I remeber reading one time Pee Wee Herman did model himself after Pinky Lee. Memphis, thanks for the memories!! Speck?? Don't remember him but he sounds fun too. Ann

Terri...Pinky Lee was an icon back in the Howdy Doody and Sky King days. Might not have been on tv in your area.
