Travelling

with the pandemic hopefully receding and things eventually getting back to normal, i fancy devon and cornwall in England this year and in 2023 the US southern states an area ive always wanted to visit. What is everyone's first holiday plans when everthing is ok to go? Where would you like to go that youve never been to?

Joe and my travel days are over, but it's due to health issues and aging, not the pandemic.
IF we could, I would love to travel to Ischia, Italy. It is the homeland of his mother and father, and from the pictures, it is absolutely beautiful. We probably would not want to come back.

Finally we are going home to Italy this April, after 3 years because of the Covid.
I hope it will be better then.

Nice Blog...Champluzat....I just noticed your comments on Bondjam's blog. The continuing lunacy of Crazyhorse....Never got to Scotland but always wanted to go there and visit as well as Ireland. I think my travelling days overseas are no more.

Hi shartaun, aww that’s a shame, Scotland and Ireland very beautiful especially on the rare occasions of a summer day( this year an exception lol) and the people are extremely welcoming, I’ve never been to Canada but it’s on my bucket list!!

Thanks Champluzat for your kind reply. I am sure you would probably really enjoy Canada. In May when my brother in-law passed away at the graveside services they played Amazing Grace and it was done by the bagpipes. It was honoring my brother in-law whose roots were Scottish. One always gets a little nostalgic when the bagpipes are playing. It was a recording but very fitting.

Amazing Grace is a beautiful song it was covered by The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1972 and was a UK number one and they played the bagpipes, I’ve never played them I don’t have the lungs for it lol. But what a special send off for your brother in law.

Just wanted to post a note about Queen Elizabeth II. She was always a favorite of mine and I grew up with her and remember vividly her coronation even though I was very young. Balmoral castle looks like a beautiful Place. At least the Queen died in a nice place. May she rest in peace and she has now joined her husband Prince Phillip.
