 North American men are smart and know all about these foreign bride offers. Marry one, bring her here at great expense, then when the woman gets her papers she files for divorce claiming half the man's assets and thee house, and the man pays alimony too.

I don't know who you are but it was nasty to attack those who wrote comments. There may be women in Russia who legitimately want to find a man to love in a foreign country but I think that is the exception rather than the norm. I have a friend that got caught up in such a scam and gave "her" thousands of dollars. She was supposed to bring herself and her kids to Canada and they were supposed to get married. My guess is that "she" wasn't even a woman. He never met her or heard her voice. Scams happen often and they prey on the lonely, as he was. I warned him but he was so anxious to have a woman that he paid out more than he had. He ended up in debt.
