Death Penalty Why, when the Gas Chamber is used, is Hydrogen Cyanide used? It is a terribly painful way to die. Why, for example is Nitrous Oxide ( NO ) not used? That is a painless death. I understand that those put to death, their victims suffered terribly. As a Society, should we lower ourselves and inflict pain and suffering, the very thing we penalize the perpetrators for? My point is, if NO is used, the person is just as dead. Any thoughts on this? |

The death penalty is perverse and disgraceful and utterly unnecessary. Bloodthirsty advocacy for this suggested an unbalanced mind and moral bankruptcy.

I think most states have elected to use lethal injection rather than the gas chamber. “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.”

We need to be humane still imo because theres a fine line between this and torturing the convict

We don't use the Gas chamber any more. Criminals are now put to sleep with lethal injections. How humane were the criminals when they killed or tortured someone?
