 We put our flags out early this morning. A British flag for Alfie as he is from England and an American flag for me.

 I have been in the habit of thanking vets for quite some time, and only once was I ever rebuffed for it. The man growled at me, "Where were you when I came home from 'Nam and was spit on?"
I replied, "I was welcoming home the men who were my age in my home town!" He just shook his head and walked away.
I understand his anger, but not everyone disrespected our veterans, and not every one appreciates them either.
Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
