Placing Central American migrant children into the custody of human traffickers is never right no matter how many times you count it. The fact that you have whoopie on your mind does not justify releasing children into harm's way. It is reasonable to expect them to be detained until permanent and safe placement can be found.

Maybe the richest country on Earth could find it in their hearts to improve the conditions in which these children are held captive........instead of military parades, constant golf weekends and bringing your adult children on international jaunts.......... Thus Washington D.C. should cease the yearly military parades on the 4th of July. Trump should give up his golf weekends which usually end up being working week-ends regardless. Ivanka Trump is an accomplished businesswoman and an unpaid advisor to POTUS on job creation + economic empowerment. What would be really great is to improve the condition of kids stuck in the foster care system. They also end up in group homes aka detention centers when they have incarcerated or incapacitated parents for whatever reason. Perhaps the conditions of kids living in the inner cities can be improved with mentoring programs. Melania Trump was recently in West Virginia doing just that. Abracadabra

So what you're saying is that the children were held in such horrific, cruel conditions under Obama so it's OK to do it now.......that Obama set such excemplary standards that they should be upheld for eternity?

Ivanka's "credentials" wouldn't have a chance in hell to get her a position as a diplomat......and to replace real diplomats with Ivanka is ridiculous and every diplomat felt disgusted to have to deal with her...Anyways, Don Jr, Eric and wife and Tiffany went on the UK trip .........And yes, there are a lot of kids being neglected that should have better care.........and please don't pretend that Melania Trump does anything but pose...... I have no great "credentials" but I've managed to become a lobbyist. I remember sitting in a meeting with a group in the Senator's office. We were talking about peacekeeping issues. The other people in the group introduced themselves while stating their educational achievements and "credentials." I introduced myself as a Wal-Mart Cashier but I also came from a military family and my son was in the military. My perspective was important too. I have no problems walking into any Senate or Congressional office being exactly who I am and talking about important issues. Melania Trump can be an effective First Lady being who she is and where she came from. She certainly adds a different perspective versus the previous First Ladies. Abracadabra

The reason why so many folks backed Trump was because of his uncouth way of saying what he thinks versus the smooth-talking equivocating do nothing politicians. Politics as usual, was not working for them. The reason the migrant situation at the USA/Mexican border is a big mess is a result of the do nothing policies throughout several administrations. The Democrats are ranting, raving, pointing the finger at Trump while they continue to do nothing to help the situation. Abracadabra

Ivanka is a college educated business woman. Both she and her husband are on the staff. Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton were lawyers. Nancy Reagan was an actress. Barbara Bush was a homemaker. Laura Bush was a librarian. Melania Trump was a model. None of these women took a class on how to be the First Lady. It has been my observation that Melania appeared uncomfortable and awkward in the role but has grown into it. I have been cheering her on while some of the jealous biddies do the opposite. So what if she poses. That is what models do but that doesn't mean that she can't do something else. I have no great "credentials" but I've managed to become a lobbyist.
