Tit for Tat

So running around in Puerto Rico partying with lobbyists instead of working on the shutdown is ok in Pelosi's book. It appears as though public relations trips are also ok, but attending a meeting to discuss the shutdown and a possible resolution is off her agenda. Yet she wants him to postpone the State of the Union address because of the shutdown? Oh, the hypocracy!!!

It's a sad situation in our federal government. The entrenched politicians of both parties, (read "swamp") were shocked and dismayed to have an outsider elected as POTUS. But it was because of them that he was elected.
Now the Democrats not only have to deal with Trump on one side, they also have that ultra left faction that is a laughing stock to the rest of the country.

For me to be upset by your criticism, I must first value your opinion.

I thought this was just a satirical meme.......... until I turned on the news! This is real.
What Congress people would even take off on a week trip like that, when part of the government is shut down?

Her hatred of Trump is what defines her and what seems to define her speakership as well. She's abandoned all reason.

I think Trump's letter is absolutely hilarious. Trump's sense of humor is one of his most effective tools.

Let's see: Dirty Harry Reid disenfranchised every voter in the USA by keeping bills from being put on the floor for a vote: silence.

Donald keeps Nasty Pelosi from going joy-riding on the taxpayer dime:

EMPEACH!!!!!!

    Quoting  :

No, there is precedent for building barriers- the two Presidents prior to Trump signed bills, promised to build more barriers, and none of it got done. Neither Bush or Obama made securing the border a priority. Obama thought it a great idea to have thousands pouring over our borders. There are two more caravans being organized now in Central America. Even Democrat Hoyer admitted the walls we have now, WORK.
Reagan got rolled by Democrats. He gave out amnesty, with a fake promise from them for border security. He never got it. Trump is not going to fall for it. He isn't falling for the " I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" schtick . Pelosi said , when asked by Trump, suppose I reopen the Government, will you fund barriers where they make sense- she said no, not one dime.
She, and her Far Left little new children, are ruining the Democratic Party. The 20/20 campaign ads write themselves.

Was responding to TX, and now his comment is gone. Oh well.

I deleted panther's comment and one from lulu, both of whom were spewing hate. I did not see Tx's post, nor did I delete it.

You think it's funny, for Trump to wield his power that way?

Your hypocrisy just amazes me..

Getting "revenge" is funny? .

I take no "pleasure" in saying this to you... I am dismayed not pleased.

Revenge? I see no revenge. What I see is leadership and an attempt to get the dems back to the negotiating table. Running off overseas to avoid negotiating is just downright stupid. But then, stupid is as stupid does.

Nancy Pelosi made it on the "No Fly" list. The only thing sweeter would have been if she had already been in Afghanistan and her flight back got cancelled. I am sure the American soldiers would be thrilled to have her as a permanent guest.

I'm sure they would have loved it especially if they could put her on the front lines.

There might be a little more to the story than tit for tat.

Trump, Pelosi and Schumer are in disagreement over money and the philosophy of how to spend it. I'd say they disagree with the philosophy of a billionaire president whose only major accomplishment so far is writing himself a billion dollars in tax breaks. That's just a guess though.

Pelosi said yesterday on twitter ...

"The suffering of our fellow Americans in #PuertoRico has been ignored far too long by the Trump Administration – and now the President will try to block important support for rebuilding efforts, including nutrition assistance for families. This cruelty cannot stand".

rainydayz replies on 1/19/2019 4:17 pm:
I'm sure you don't honestly believe that's the reason, now do you? Her hate for Trump supercedes the safety of the citizens of this country. That is clear by both her actions and her words.

Give me a break, JC. Pelosi abused her power by attempting to block a sitting president from delivering his SOTU address. This is a good deal more serious than a junket to Afghanistan, which to me indicates that Pelosi doesn't give a sh*t about getting the government running again.
