Ode to Music.

Ode to Music

Oh Music, you happy ear
Your rhythm which confiscates a sullen mood
And moves a heart to exuberance
Sweet excellence, which gives vigour to the step
That a toe taps and a heart beats in time

What mouth does not weaken its stretch
To give leisure to a smile’s enjoyment
Or eyes, of intent, do not soften to a gentling
And so are induced to a sensitive occasion
Of harmonious and melodious gleam

Oh happy sound, to provoke a memory
Of happy and sad times, which gives a tear
As a glistened acknowledge of such times
And still the toe keeps the beat of time
That all of happiness is within the tune
Which vibrates its energy
Through the atmosphere of sweet air waves

Dear Music, such a glorious frame of mind
That no sweeter sound may give call
To enthuse a dance, a song, a feel of amour
You are truly a remove of natural instinct
To escape from all which ravages a nature
And through this, precious and darling Music
Is youth ever-played, ever-loved
And an ever-lasting affair

I love good music, especially from the sixties and seventies era. Nothing like it to shake the blues away

Lovely poem

Music has charms to sooth the savage breast....W. Congreve.

There are some genres which I enjoy a lot. Even , heavy metal, and opera have some pieces worth a listen..... but not many.
LOLOL...

Yesterday, I listened to a program where the Chines were taking up opera and Western music in a big way, especially classical. It made me wonder why it took so long. You certainly are with it, Rocket; with and heavy Metal! Wow, you really are a rebel and with a mind for fun. Have a great Labour Day today and ENJOY!
