Jealousy JEALOUSY. What twist is the knife to the inner heart This crucify, this wrench of hurting’ pride Is desperation tearing life apart Cast of spasms which sears the gut inside Ah, poor jealousy, foul miserable Why hate in this way, to a malcontent Is all in capture to sad heart’s harsh rule Without remission and a lifetime spent Cold nature, you have me in icy grip Entombed in jealousy’s quietest rage Let me go or let ugly savage rip My heart to an outing and dying stage What hard influence is hurt to the life This cut of emotion, sharp jealousy’s knife |
