CHRISTIANS WIN AGAIN

Supreme Court rules Peace Cross war memorial can stand

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a Peace Cross war memorial on public land outside Washington, D.C., can stand, determining in a 7-2 decision that it does not violate the Constitution.
Residents of Prince George’s County, Maryland and the American Humanist Association (AHA) had sued to have the cross taken down, and the American Legion, whose symbol is also on the memorial, intervened to defend it. While the residents and AHA claimed that a cross memorial on public land violated the Constitution, the Court determined that factors, including the history of the memorial, support the idea that it is not religious in nature.

THIS CRT AND THIS PRESIDENT REMAINS STRONG FOR CHRISTIAN VALUES

It's not just Christian values, it's anything that someone wants to object to that has to be destroyed. Look at all the monuments around our country that have been under attack by liberal, tolerant groups that are only tolerant of things to which they agree.

If you don't expect anything from anybody......You won't be disappointed.

I think it's hilarious that there is a group of people who vociferously defend a model of a primitive torture and murder device.......LOL.....Leave our torture device alone.....we need to be reminded of how primitive goat herders in the Middle East tortured heretics and enacted capital punishment.........

As for your snide remark about "goat herders" I hope the following will enlighten you to your biased remarks being both inflammatory as well as demeaning. Crucifixion, an important method of capital punishment particularly among the Persians, Seleucids, Carthaginians, and Romans. It was abolished in the Roman Empire in the early 4th century out of veneration for Jesus Christ,

The Peace Cross, is a World War I memorial, located in the three-way junction of Bladensburg Road, Baltimore Avenue, and Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Maryland. The base of the cross displays the words "valor," "endurance," "courage," and "devotion." It also includes a bronze tablet listing the names of 49 men from Prince George's County's who died during the war.

Well you can laugh all you want but at least the Supreme Court of the United States saw it in a different light. At the very least they are not driven by hate, prejudice and rage like you.

The "cross" is immaterial to the message.......the words at the base and the names of the soldiers could still be there absent the primitive torture device.

“For nearly a century, the Bladensburg Cross has expressed the community’s grief at the loss of the young men who perished, its thanks for their sacrifice, and its dedication to the ideals for which they fought,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion for the court.

It appears that Canadians also use the "primitive torture device" as a salute to honor the departed who have served in the Canadian military. The National Military Cemetery is a good example of this.

CROSSES , transends materials.

the CROSS used to cruxify JESUS was made of wood. dogwood infact.

this why dogwood have spinly limbs. so that tre can never be used again.

research the history of CROSSES.

THE CROSS symbolizes the CROSS JESUS died on.

its is not a chunk of any thing.

you as a none believer cant grasp this.

I guarantee you that an atheist would grace the pearly gates before raging hypocrites like you will. All you do is make a mockery of God. If you think that's getting you into heaven...good luck with that.
