we know you are an atheist . more or less you don't believe THE LIVING CHRIST LIVES.

we get that.

as a sinner I oftern wonder how any one can deny that OUR LORD IS REAL.

I have read your words describing OUR LORD as an invisible guy in the sky.

we see that and hear what you say.

my question to you is, when did you stop believing???

we are not birthed atheist . we are raised to believe. this is not about forms of religion.

THIS IS ABOUT WHEN AND WHY YOU STOPPED BELIEVING IN OUR SAVIOR .

I doubt your parents raised u as a none believer .

did you raise your children to deny . did you teach your grands there was no GOD??

share with us. as I have said, you possess much wisdom and knowledge.

when did you lose faith??

your knowledge of the BIBLE tells me you explored the SCRIPTURES.

YOU KNOW THE BIBLE BETTER THAN ME.

what happened to deprive you of the love OF OUR LORD.

as a Christian I seek out b oth belivers as well as non believers .

a few words can create thought and maybe convert.

PLEASE SHARE WITH US.

I WILL NOT RESPOND AND NOT COMMENT ON WHAT YOU SAY. I ASK OTHER STHE SAME.

thank you for your cooments and I understand how you feel.
DR BILLY GRAHAM said it best.. life cannot be a smooth hwy. if it was we woul never enjpy the smooth hwys . life is made up of rurt in the road, pot holes, uneven roads and roads that never end.

this ispart of life. no one is promised a bed of roses or a hand of all face cards.

if you expect this you set your self up for major dissapointment .

at my age i have endured many heart aches . i have fell prey to many sob stories. even some from my own children.

all that said, LIFE IS NOT A CRAP SHOOT.

life is made up of how we deal with things.

keep in mind each of us control how we deal and or react to lifes problems.

yes we make mistakes. we are human. we act om human insticts.

we are born in sin. it is up tp each of us to decide how we deal with life.

CHRISTIANS dont live life asa perfect time. we live to love OUR LORD HE alone determins our life.

life IS not like a poker game, YOU DONT ALWAYS GET FACE CARDS.

you play the hand dealt to you..

i ask you to seek out OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. HE LOVES US ALL

As for the Bible. The events depicted, not all of them, but especially in the Old Testament , have corroboration in the histories of many other civilizations. Even the Mayans have a cataclysm story like the Flood. Scientists have confirmed that the earth did experience such an event. Many battles, Jericho, for example, is also told by the losing side. The Bible is Jewish history, with religion mixed in as explanations for much of it. No secret that a people would write their own history with their own spin.
Every civilization has a creation story, also.

As for religion- I am not one for organized religion, but we are spiritual people. We are more than a pile of minerals and 98% water. How you deal with that part of your humanity is personal choice. Humans are social creatures, and naturally band together and will create societies based on common beliefs. We also want to believe we are more than what we see.

Look, you are obviously excruciatingly naive , uneducated and unexplored.....you sound like you have never been curious about the Human Condition beyond your own doorstep.

You hold up this label of "Atheist" over my head and apply your prejudices and demand that I justify it to you in the simplistic terms of your limited experience......I suggest that if you have finally developed some curiosity about what other Humans experience beyond your doorstep, you do some reading........go to your local library......they have a whole section on Philosophy and Religion.

I define myself as more spiritual than religious. I don't even try to define God but I see evidence of divine intervention in my life all the time. It is through coincidences, being in the right place at the right time or watching how a scenario clicks into place.

Thank you for acknowledging that people can be spiritual and not believe in a God.........

And there are also people like me who are not spiritual and don't believe in God.
Yeah....I really, really dislike the word "Spiritual" but I'm at a loss as to how to communicate my thinking to people as naive and unexamined as Hank....

find that word even more problematic......Like the word "spiritual" it means so many different things to different people........It was the buzz-word of the seekers after Eastern Religion in the sixties and into the New Age spiritual movement, that saw people lining their nests with whatever shiny object drew their attention in the moment.........There were the many gurus and masters and Spiritual teachers that were put forward by celebrities......mish-mashes of magical thinking , quantum Physics, yoga and mind-expanding plants..............claiming enlightenment.........and then moving on to the next shiny spiritual object.

An old acquaintance and her husband....Yoga teachers who call themselves "Healers"......calling themselves experts after taking weekend workshops.......it's all just theatre.......of the absurd......One time they told me they were now Enlightened......I asked them how they knew that........They told me they had been to a see a famous guru from India who was holding sessions in LA.................They had been in a huge hall with thousands of others and just being in the "presence" of this woman ......contained within the same 4 walls as the guru, had enlightened them.........and enlightenment had also brought them the ability to tell if others were enlightened......they said that they just walked out of that building and out on the streets of LA and could tell who was enlightened and who wasn't..........They continue to think they are enlightened, but are unable to describe enlightenment, or define it......I call BS on all of it.
