One Arab's viewpoint. Part 2

Talk begins. When we want to study a religious issue, we go back to our heritage. But when we want to study an earthly matter such as why we are backwards while others are prosperous we must search for the answer elsewhere. Not in our heritage.

Q. Where is elsewhere? In the West?

A. Without a doubt.

Q In the West, not the East?

A. The East only emulates the West. Take Japan for example, if not for its openness to the Western culture it too would have remained backward. The individualism of the Arab has been erased in this society.

Q. What do you mean by erased individualism?

A. He is incapable of independent thinking and therefore always rejects what is rejected by society and accepts what is accepted by society.

Q, So team spirit prevails?

A. It's the spirit of a herd, not a team. It's the spirit of a herd that cannot free itself from the captivity of the prevailing culture. Whatever the society considers to be good, the individual considers to be good. He is incapable of independent thinking and benefiting from the culture of others. He is incapable of stepping out of the mould imposed on him since childhood.

Q. Should the Arab individual be rebellious for example?

A. Not rebellious but he should seek the truth. He must not efface himself and dissolve into the herd.

Q. You criticise the Arabs and praise Israel. Do you think the Arabs should follow the Israeli model?

A. No, Israel did not create itself. It's an offshoot of the West. They are an offshoot of Western culture. That's why I compared Israel to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Q. Do you consider the fact that some countries are the offshoots of Western culture to be a good thing or a bad thing?

A. It's a positive thing.

Q. So we should be offshoots of the West as well?

A. No, but we should benefit from this rich experience. It is the West that has produced all this prosperity. To this day we are a burden on the West. Even Japan admits that without benefiting from the West, it would not have developed.

Q. Prosperity in what?

A. In everything. In the value, liberties and dignity of human beings as well as in the development of science, of technology and of life.

Q. Do you believe that life is the same as it was 10 centuries ago?

A. This tremendous change was produced by the West.

Q shouldnt it be viewed as an accumulated achievement in which all societies played a role?

A. It is not an accumulated achievement. It was achieved solely by the West. Tyranny is a tremendous obstacle which makes any progress impossible.

Q. Do you believe that this theory applies to Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein?

A. Iraq has not been able to achieve stability. The whole world has interfered in its affairs as we have seen.

Q The West, which you praise so highly intervenes in Iraq.

A. No, the west interfered in Japan's affairs as well and managed to save Japan from tyranny. Today Japan is considered a model of democracy, of liberties and of all the advantages that the West has produced.

Q You have said that during their conquests at the advent of Islam the Arabs emerged from the deserts in order to conquer, not to learn. What did you mean by that?

A. In my view over the centuries, the Arabs believed, and continue to believe that they have sufficient knowledge and wisdom and that they do not need to learn anything from others because they appeared on the stage of history in order to conquer, not to learn, to teach, not to study... As guiders, not people seeking the guidance of others. This delusion of the Arabs persists to this day even though the entire world has changed. The world has changed but they still believe that it is their duty to teach others and the duty of others to heed them. The truth is the Arabs have nothing to offer others, yet they continue this horrible delusion, this belief in one's own perfection, the belief that others must learn from them makes it impossible for them to benefit from modern culture.

I've had to edit this because it was rejected. Hope it's accepted now.

I don't think the left really cares or thinks much about any of the "causes" they take up.

Most of them just want to present themselves as champions against those "evil" systems and traditions that were once appreciated prior to the 60s.

The causes of the left had some validity in the 60s. As a result, we got some good changes in civil rights legislation, our troops out of Vietnam, and Nixon resigned.

But today, they feel empty cos there's no more legitimate concerns, and they must hunt for something to oppose.

They are still emotionally in high school. The girls want to show themselves to be "femininely compassionate" and the guys just hope to get laid by demonstrating their "compassion".

It's all an effort to have status and credentials sufficient to sit with the "cool kids" in the cafeteria.

GBU,

Gavin

I pretty much agree with all the answers. He needs to use "almost all" instead of "all".

I believe since the 1950's the West has changed the economic face of the arab world. The arab accepted that changed, but did not understand the repercussion that change would bring about.

There has been over the last sixty years an erosion of the Muslim culture. Their religion did not give the people the ability to adapt to those changes and now the bubble has burst. Because of that this has become a religious war.

We see territory, sects, states and countries. They only see Muslim vs the West, and ALL the religions of the west. We are fighting a territorial war, the are fighting a religious war. We cannot win that kind of war...We win every battle and are just losing the war.

Muslims have objectified America as being the West. Only to make a point. In reality, America means nothing, and America, as it represents the West means everything to them.
People on the right should understand this, They have a fight with Liberals, They have personified that fight through Obama, as representative of Liberals. In reality, Obama, means nothing. Liberals mean everything, so Obama means everything.

I would like to know who this Arab is, he understands the problem. I wonder where, why and when he became so enlightened?

Muslims have been at war with the world for over 4,000 years. From what I have read in several articles, they are trained, or maybe I should say brainwashed, to kill infidels and those who will not convert starting at a very young age. How does one learn to think, or have the capability to think for themselves when it is instilled in them from day one?

There was a story of a Muslim who converted to Christianity, call it a fluke, but it does happen, who by chance got to see what Christianity was all about. These Christians took him into their home to take care of him after an automobile accident, he felt loved, he felt peace, and they made him feel like part of their family. I won't get into the whole story, but he woke up to find his old life was wrong, but look what it took for him to get there.

Muslim real problem is with Christianity...It diversity, it's adaptiblity, it's freedom, it's acceptance, it's justice, it's compassion and it' lifestyle.

They cant fight against it, Christiantity destroy other religions, when given the chance, without lifting a finger.

The only problem with Christianity is Christians.

I remember reading somewhere about the British removing "The Thugs" from India. Thug was a religion of torturing people to death as a form of worship, that's the origin of the word. I guess if the mindset of "All roads lead to Rome" and "All Rivers lead to the sea" That was one of them ....... Glad there's one religion that states, "Love your Neighbour." Mind you there's still pockets of them around today as it went underground.

I think the issue here is having the freedom to believe without a pressure from a tyrannical society to the contrary.

Just another thought. If this guy gets the Arabs onboard with the West, the NWO will have its agenda closer to being realized. One to think about.
