I'm checking out the cost of a cart and pony right now. Ponies will keep the grass mowed and fertilized at the same time.

I thought about buying a hybrid to travel to and from the man cave but then I decided it is cheaper and safer to unload the man cave. No taxes--- No utilities---- no sorry neighbors----no gas bill----no home insurance---- no mowing no tractor repair.

I will have all problems solved when I sign up for future cremation services. LMAOFF!

Perhaps all of these 100 plus degree days have messed up your thinking. LOL
Party On.

once again you write a blog that makes too much sense with facts that are well published. yet that will not affect the koolaide drunketh by the sheep.

better said, as before you are wasting good information on ones that only have one way to think. what they have been told. mindless sheep.

Explain that Tx. So you think my thinking is messed up because I did a blog about how bad the EVs are? What I shared was maybe a handful of articles written about the dangers of these EVs and the batteries used to power them.

LOL, maybe if you buy one of those hybrids, you won't have to worry about signing up for a future cremation.

LMFAO

Well Hank, people can make their own choices, but hopefully they research the pros and cons of one of these EVs before they waste all their money on one.

I had also read the same article. The guy who had all that trouble bought the new Ford truck. LOL

Charging stations are also a huge consideration.

My thinking was a person driving 80 miles per day and charging at home base might benefit from the battery powered.

But stay calm ----cool weather is on the way as we speak. LOL

Last week our friends hybrid over heated on a 40 mile trip to the city and was towed to the dealer.
They didn't tell the wife if it was from fire or the 108 degree day. LOL

The grid, the highways aren't ready with EV charging stations and that's a well-known fact ....... and EV friendly media is among the first to acknowledging it regularly.

The real story is that your Canadian businessman is so ignorant to spend that kind of money and not know what he was getting

I'm not sold on electric powered vehicles either. On the whole they may be better suited for in-town/short distance driving.

My daughter has a hybrid and finds it saves her money on gas, and has very little impact on their electric bill.

I read something just recently about weight. An electric vehicle weighs 30% more than a gas powered vehicle because of battery weight. ..... and the larger and more power a vehicle requires the heavier again it will be~~ Yikes!! Are our highways & bridges ready for this!!!

We do need to reduce pollution from vehicles, but I wonder if electric vehicles are the answer.

oh, i agree however thinking is missing from any type of choice. socialist brainwashing has replaced common sense.. i think it is called follow the leader. yes, pun intended!.

also, waste is non-existent in the thinking. the govt just prints more!

I really think people mean well in their choices to clean up the planet. People want the good, not the bad, and to them having a clean planet is a good thing. The problem is they focus on the now, not the later. They can't see the landfills of the future filled with toxic batteries and wind turbine blades and what they will do to further the pollution, but now it will be in our soils as well.

I did mention the fact that he bought the truck, first line, second paragraph. The article I read mentioned that he had put a home charging system in. Another problem the man had later was that his truck was in a minor accident and was in the shop for six months. Couldn't get parts to fix it. So after spending around $150,000.00 on everything, he's stuck with an EV he doesn't want anymore.

I live in a house with AC, the heat isn't getting to me. LOL, try turning yours down to a cooler setting, if you have one.

So glad you mentioned the weight of these EVs Rocket. There was a story out a few weeks ago about EVs going through the floor of parking garages because of their weight, those structures weren't designed for them. I can only imagine what they will do to our highways, but then again, 18 wheelers can carry up to 80,000 pounds, which is a lot more than an EV. They do wear out our highways though.

As far as reducing pollution, maybe, maybe not. I'll cover that in my next blog.

nile you write better, more sensible blogs than anyone in SFF. BUT BUT, you are wasting your time and breath. facts are beyond the scope of understanding here.

took me over 10 years to realize no matter what you write, no matter what facts you post. it matters not to the weak-minded sheep.

This blog has more holes in it than swiss cheese. It's misinformation at best.

EV's are too heavy for parking lot floors, roads and bridges .......yeah right! Have you ever weighed full size pickup truck loaded with cargo? We park them in parking garages all the time.

We run billions of personal devices on batteries all day every day, and you want to single out the EV battery to protect landfills.

Lots of people spend lots on money on cars with gasoline engines and don't "want" them later ... they sell them. We still have the "lemon law" that stops dealers from selling garbage.

The Canadian businessman "story" .... bought a EV and didn't know how to work it. LOL that's exactly what it is, a story ... a tool for big oil.

Nileyears replies on 8/30/2023 3:43 pm:
Believe what you want Dusty, but the Canadian man isn't the only one out there who regrets buying an EV.

So the injuries and death counts are supposedly a hoax put out by the gas companies too?

Prove it! Put your money where your mouth is and bring us the facts, I'm sure we would all love to see them.

Nileyears keep on believing the POLITICS of EV, .......... keep on believing that Big Oil Companies based in the USA aren't Globalists ..... and they don't export 'your' oil while you pay sky high prices ... they're your friend .. they got your back ..........elect Trump and he'll make sure Big OIL gets a sweetheart tax deal and the public land they want.

And when the Holiday driving season comes around, you're going to get what you always get ..... ripped off

No facts, just personal emotion is all I see from you Dusty.

The fact is gas prices were low when Biden took office.

Another fact is, Biden depleted our oil reserves telling us he would replace what he sold to foreign countries, especially China, but he never did. I'm still waiting.

Fact is, Biden's campaign promise was to stop drilling and fracking, he kept his promise. He also shut down pipelines.

Somehow you want to blame this on Trump and oil companies, but all I see is a person riding on an emotional rollercoaster. Our economy is in the crapper and you sit in front of your computer pointing your finger in the wrong direction. I get tired of saying this, Trump isn't sitting in the White House, this big mess is all on Biden.

Here's a fact ... I didn't write anything in your blog that supports Joe Biden's energy policy. Period

Here's another fact ... I didn't blame Trump or "want to blame Trump" for the price of gas.

Read your blog ....

You pretty much are saying Trump is in cahoots with Big OIL. What I asked of you was to give me facts, not someone's opinion. What I said about Biden are facts, we have all seen and heard him say he would do what he promised to do and are now feeling the results of Biden's actions.

You say BIG OIL is behind the EV politics? So you think they are putting together these stories on how bad EVs are? Is that your point?

If that is so, are the news reports on video fake? Go and see for yourself! Is the media filming EVs on fire fake? Are they also in cahoots with BIG OIL? Is the parking garage collapse in NY fake? Is MSNBC making that up too?
