Some kids don't even know how to check the oil in their vehicles, most don't even know how to change a tire. They need us, help them if you can.

The sharing of knowledge is the highest order of our lives ! Glad you had a pleasant time with her. We just have 3 MUTTs to teach.... I'd pull my hair OUT but it is too short!

GAWD !!!! I'd be totally screwed trying to change a tire! We have roadside assistance for that. The oil and other fluids are handled by both of us. Planting & Harvest JD has his hands full keeping the trucks and tractors so I step in more.

LOL, well, we didn't have cell phones way back when and if we got a flat tire, we changed it ourselves. Even now we still have dead zones where we can't get a signal for our phones, so unless someone stops to help you, you could be there for hours, days, weeks waiting for someone to come along to change your flat. Of course, the days and weeks waiting you'd have to be in a pretty remote area.
I'm thankful I had my older brothers to teach me how to do that kind of stuff.

Sweet Child of Mine is one of the most popular riffs out there. I haven't even started her on riffs yet, but I will. So many, so little time!

I like Dire Straits "Money For Nothing" and another is Queens of the Stone Age "No One Knows." For those kind of riffs I have to pull out the old Gibson electric, which she'll get when I die, or I when I can no longer play. She gets everything music wise, books, instruments, amplifiers, etc...

No need to be sorry, I love the interaction between us bloggers.

I just don't want to be a BLOG HOG... Two posts in a day or repetitious comments on a post is most unbecoming in my book. Also those innumerable pictureless profiles in here posting copy & paste crap they probably never even read. Your profile photo says it all! Mine is OLD I played Red Riding Hoodie ... that's what my long time friends look for.. yes it's old but it is ME! What does it Take??? *** steps off soapbox***

Enjoying your granddaughters company and playing great music together, sounds good to me. Niles, it's lovely you have that connection with her, very special indeed.

Thank you Maudie! I feel we have a good connection, especially between a granddaughter and grandmother. My youngest daughter had that with my Mom. Funny how that goes sometimes.
