Counting flowers on the wall, that don't bother me at all.

I love my Christmas and New Year's Eve plans !!

I have always set a table with the fine china, silverware, and candles. Cook a yummy dinner. Put on my favourite music, and sip a delicious red wine while reminiscing about wonderful memories of past years.... Ahhhhh

Wishing you a Happy & Healthy 2023 ~~

Going to our friends for the evening and probably leave early and come home like we did last year.

Can't take late nights anymore......

That sounds wonderful Rocket! Never thought about setting up a fancy table for New Years, I might make that a new tradition. I'm not much for wine, but a glass of champagne sounds good.

I wish you for you a wonderful 2023 also!!

That sounds like fun Anne. I would prefer that to a party any day!

Have a Happy New Year!

No partying for me either. I have been laid up with congestion and cough for the past three weeks and am not over it completely. I haven't done anything on New Year's Eve for many years. I will make myself a nice dinner and the show from New York. Maybe go out on my balcony at midnight and bang my pots and pans....LOL!
Happy New Year to you Nileyears and I wish you a great 2023!

No party for me either. I will just stay at home watch TV have pizza and a few glasses of wine. To be honest I never really liked New Year's Eve all that much.

Niles, wishing you and yours a very happy and peaceful 2023

Too late, my older girl called and said her and my grandson will be here Saturday to spend bringing in the New Year with me. So not going to be alone. Dinner will be some strip steaks on the grill with baked potatoes and a salad. Guess who gets to go shopping tomorrow?

Have a wonderful New Year Bret! Oh, and wish one for JD, Max and Alex too!!

Oh no Shar!! That's not good!!

Get to feeling better so you can go out and bang on those pots and pans!!

My eldest daughter will be here with my grandson, so I won't be alone this year. We'll watch the fireworks over the lake at midnight, but I like the idea of banging on those pots and pans, might add that to the celebration, LOL.

Wishing you a wonderful New Year Shar!!

Thanks Star and I wish you a Happy New Year as well!
They say you should open your door to let the old year leave and let the new year in. Seems like a good thing to me.

It is so good to know I'm not the only who doesn't like to go out partying on New Years.

Pizza sounds good! Have you ever had a white pizza? My youngest makes me one for my birthday every year. They are so good!!

Maudie, I wish for you the best year ever in 2023, Happy New Year!!

Are you hoping they go out ( your son and daughter ) or they stay home? LOL, we all have a little bad in us somewhere, you can't hold it in forever.

Sounds like a good way to spend New Year's Eve! Have a beer, or a glass of wine for me, I just got sparkling cider for bringing in the new year, that way my grandson can join his mother and me in a toast.

Happy New Year Smiley!!

We went to our friends and visited with all there, left about 8:30 and starting to rain so knowing the crazy drivers around here we decided to leave. It has been raining too.

Off to bed now. He is watching Family Feud. Nite and Happy New Year.

That's also a good plan. I haven't been able to sit down with a good book for about a month now.
