I should have posted a couple of funny horse memes I have. What the heck, I can still do that.

Great "H "photos of your granddaughter and Drifter. I love the second cute photo of your granddaughter and Hope in the snow. Lucky little girl to have grown up with your beautiful horses.

Interesting pictures of the horses. They do have their own personalities, don't they? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Nice photos of horses. The last one is really pretty.

I've been keen to see pictures of your horse, Nile. He's a very handsome bay - does he have any white markings? You mentioned elsewhere he's 15.3 hands. How old is Drifter? He looks to be in excellent condition with his glossy coat and good muscle tone. I had horses when I was younger, and actually preferred their company to that of men more often than not as I found them more interesting. They're noble, highly intelligent animals as you would know. And because of their size, they seem almost like mythological creatures.

Beautiful pictures , especially with your cute girl. Love horses too. We have many wild horses here in the Salt River and we love to go see them and took pictures too. "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

You're so lucky to live in a spot where there are horses! Not many in this area but when I do find them I really enjoy watching them. They're so peaceful when they graze. Great photos!

Thanks for your reply Nile. Fascinating to know you also show jumped (I never reached that level except to jump fences/logs of modest height (used to pretend I was the horse lol ). It takes a lot of courage as well as experience and confidence in your mount/horse I would think and can imagine you missing those exhilarating days although at far more intense level than I ever could appreciate (was brave enough to jump horses over low logs however, lol ). Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Your Horses are really lucky, Nile. Because You are there to look after them! Stay well and cheerful always.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend too!

Many years ago a friend had two horses I would often go to his place & we would ride them. The mare I always rode had a tendency to (drift) over & under e all the tree branches that were about head high. LOL Also she refused to let another horse get very far ahead of her. When that happened she would bolt forward like out of the Kentucky Derby gates. LOL That horse kept the rider alert at all times. LOL One time we decided to RUN them in a shallow creek waterhole in an effort to stomp a bunch of big carp that inhabited it. We soon realized that horses had difficulty running in water and those carp were fast boogers & they must be able to see in severely stirred up muddy water. We had visions of stomped carp floating to top of the water but it didn't happen. Plus the poor horses were completely exhausted. We were young then & didn't know better. The horses could have died from it.

Niles many years ago we lived in the Metroplex & my son befriended a lady somewhat older than him. This lady had some land and rode jumper horses. Very pretty lady with a scar running from corner of the mouth around side of her cheek. We always assumed it was caused by being thrown from one of her horses. Not many ride jumpers. Would you happen to know her?
