No song stuck in my head today, just giving the post a bump.

How cool is that!! I have heard animals have that sixth sense about ghosts, and if my cat, or German Shepherd start seeing things I don't, I'll probably run out the door!! Thanks for sharing your story Maggie.

I do believe and actually played "games" with one. I think I have written about this before.

After my husband and I divorced I stayed in the house. It was 100 years old the end of September 2002 . I had seen names written on the ceiling of the basement with the dates and presumed they were the original owners. I researched it at the courthouse. It worked out with the date on the ceiling of the basement.

I lived there several years alone and would hear someone talking upstairs. I would say hi and whoever would disappear. Several times this happened.

One day I saw a small silver hoop earring laying by my computer, on the floor. I presumed it had come unhooked from my ear lobe so took it back upstairs and back into the jewelry box. A few months later there was the same earring on the floor by my computer. I laughed and hollered up...I found it!

Another time I had started to put together a puzzle and gave up after I got the border done...500 pieces seemed like a lot to mess with so I gave it to my gal friend about an hour away. One day I found one of the pieces of the puzzle on the floor by my computer. Hmmmm! I recognized it as a piece from the fancy hot air balloon on the puzzle box. Months after I took it to my friend! I called her and asked if the puzzle was missing a piece but it had been awhile since she put it together and she didn't remember. I drove up to visit and took the piece with me. She tossed it in the box.

I laughed when I found it and hollered up to my little ghost gal that I found the puzzle piece.

I asked my ex husband if he ever heard anyone talking upstairs while he was remodeling the house to sell. He said no but seemed curious about why I asked, so I explained.

The man that bought the house is my ex stepdaughter's Minister.

We drove by the house when we were in Indiana the first part of June and wondered some more if the gal is still hanging around upstairs.

I wish I had some great ghost stories to share but sadly (or happily) I don't.

I must have missed the first time you wrote about your ghost, but I am glad you are sharing it with me now. I wonder what the Minister thought of her, lol, or if he even noticed things were out of place?

After reading your story, I am starting to wonder if I have a playful ghost in my house. Things are always coming up missing and then I find them in the most peculiar spots. I remember washing my little glass Hummingbird and setting it on the side of the sink to dry. It had a golden string attached to it which I would use to hang it in the kitchen window. I left it there for a couple of hours and when I came back inside to hang it up, the string was gone and there was a Peso laying next to the bird. That has always puzzled me.

Both of those stories about your aunt's experiences are great! The dog "watching" while burglarized is funny! The second story actually gave me the chills when I read it and reminded me of something similar that happened to me when I was 5 years old. I totally forgot about it till now! Guess it wasn't something I wanted to remember.

I actually do believe in ghosts, but not as the spirits of people who have died. I believe they are familiar spirits who con people into believing they are the spirits of the departed.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

efinitely. I have encountered things from the spirit world on many occasions. My house in town has a resident Abuela (grandma) ghost. When I first moved in there I would wake up at night with a sense of loneliness and wondered how that could be since I was sharing a bed with a husband, child, dog and a couple of cats. Then I began experiencing dreams of being old and lonely. I was in my early 30 with a family and job and hardly lonely.

We added on a room and what was the bedroom became a office / den. I was making Halloween costumes for the kids using my old tredal machine (my good one stopped working in the middle of the project). I would get the feeling that someone was there with me. One day I glanced up and there was my ghost, an old Mexican looking woman sitting in a rocking chair. I understood and told her that she should move on to a better place but she was welcome to stay with us if she choose, that we would do nothing to disrupt or harm her.

There are other happenings associated with this entity but I will not take up space here. Over time I was able to find out the history of my house and indeed a woman matching the ghosts description had lived there. Stranger yet it seems she was my oldest daughter's kindergarten teacher's aunt

My fave: after my mom passed, I took possession of her puppy. I could feel her (I mean I knew exactly where she was in the room) and the puppy could sense her - exactly where I did.

I FIRMLY believe she was there, not to make sure I was OK, but to make sure I was treating the puppy well.....

You had me confused there for a minute, lol, but I get what you are saying, kind of. So, would those spirits be considered a type of prankster?

Wow Spirit, you must have a super sensitive sense to the spirit world. You actually felt what she was feeling and saw her. On those ghost hunter shows, which I haven't watched in years, they use all kinds of equipment to verify if there is an entity there. They should just give you a call.

Shoot em up Tony's, I have never heard that expression before, but I like it!! I have read that children are more open to spirits, and most of us adults have closed the door on the 6th sense. Take the imaginary friends that we hear so much about. Are they imagined, or actually a spirit? My grandson had one when he was 3 years old and as he got older, his imaginary friend just seemed to fade away.

What was so scary about the ghost when you were a child?

I'm always up for a good mystery and I am enjoying the stories I'm reading from our fellow bloggers. Maybe they aren't ghosts, who knows? Maybe just a strange type of energy field, but ghosts and spirits will work for now.

I can see why it's your favorite, how much better could it get knowing your mom was there watching over both of you? She may have been there to help the pup get used to his/her new home and made sure you were doing everything right. Did your mom stay around for a long time?

Well Nile It Was Interesting To Say The Least - Not Scared Of Demons - They Can't Touch Me
My vision of demons are from the movies, which don't scare me, but if I saw one in real life, that looked like the movie demons, that would be a different story!
