And people don't think prayers work? All this positive energy by my friends here, two prayer groups on the outside, all my daughter's friend's prayers, etc... I can't imagine, nor count the people praying for Michael.

He's talking, responding to the doctor and sitting up in bed, how is that for a small miracle?

WOOHOO!!!!!

What happened to your son-in-law, Rae? I remember he had that episode of not remembering things but was fine. What is going on now?

Hi Elaine, My son in law went to the hospital for a biopsy on his new kidney. While there he complained of a severe headache, so they cancelled the biopsy and he had an MRI instead. The doctor saw a mass on his brain, and at that time they didn't know if it bleeding, or a tumor. They took another MRI that evening and saw the mass was larger. At that time, Michael was no longer responding and they took him in for emergency surgery. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Last night he was awake, sitting up in bed and talking. If I didn't write everything that happened, it's in my other two blogs I posted about him.

Nile, delighted to see that Michael is responding and doing so well. Good news indeed.

Thanks Maudie, we are all smiling here, but we know he's still not quite out of the woods on this one, he'll be in ICU for awhile.

I read all 3 posts and my prayers are with Michael. It is good they found this blood clot when they did. I am not a doctor but the impression I have is that they know how to treat blood clots. Some people have them but don't know they do and that is dangerous. Michael is getting the treatment he needs and I wish him the best. It must be quite stressful for your family so keep your spirits up. He's in the right place.

Thank you Elaine, we are doing better as he gets better. He still gets stressed when they wake him up because of the pain, so they have him in kind of a twilight sleep so he doesn't have to deal with it. They are keeping a real close eye on him to make sure the bleeding in the brain has stopped, and so far so good.

I'll keep you in my prayers as well my friend.
