It's a big thing here in Texas for people to get in the middle of these flowers and take photos every Spring.....but they sometimes forget to be on the lookout for snakes!!

Interestingly it was an initiative from Ladybird Johnson to plant native flowers beside the highways, in particular the Bluebonnet Lupins - and in the pic above it seems to have turned out beautifully.

Really beautiful Nile I love that shade of blue. We are in Sydney at the moment. The parks are full of fabulous flowers. Does the heart good just to look at them.

Me either, I've had a few close encounters with rattlesnakes and copperheads.

All kinds of snakes puzzles, but Copperheads seem to be everywhere, also rattlesnakes, rat snakes, or chicken snakes (they are one in the same, but not poisonous) Bull snakes, cotton mouths, and the list goes on!! A lot of our country roads look like that here, that road in the picture looks like FM 934 out of Osceola, Tx. I love it in the Spring time here, everywhere you look you see flowers!!

What beautiful flowers growing along the road like that.

Hahaha, I did say it was the state flower, right above the pictures, I must be losing it! I have had my grandson everyday since my son in law went into the hospital, believe me, he's a handful.

Lovely, Rae. I was going to ask where you are, but decided to look. I hope to hear from you. Elaine Shuel
