I'm not political but there is no reason you shouldn't feel free to speak up on anything you want to on these blogs. Isn't that what they're for?

Yes Elaine, that's true, but I didn't want to get into politics on a dating site, and I did, lol. It's like I can't help myself and I want to kick my own butt for doing so! On the other hand, the dating part doesn't seem to be working out so well, so what the hello does it matter? I guess I'll just do what I want to do!

Don't beat yourself up. Just move on and share and respond to things that make you feel better. If your heart is into political / social issues it will be hard to avoid. You now have a better idea of who is who here. There is a political group - actually only a few on each side of the fence and they do seem to dominate at times but there are lots of others here who offer a diverse range of topics. Like all you will find people you "click" with and those you don't. Some will become good friends, others well you will choose to stay away from but isn't that life?

Spirit you are so right, it's hard to stay away from things that pull you in a certain direction, who was I kidding? I'm not sure if I'm clicking with anyone yet, though I do enjoy reading their blogs. I think I'll take a break and enjoy the weekend with my girls and take my granddaughter riding with me. You came, You saw, You Conquered.
Therefore, should you leave the site for a reason that may not be a convincing thing to many of us who have so far liked to read your blogs? May be, you could give the matter a second thought and then decide. It was really a pleasure to read you here on your blog page.

Hi Nile: Sure we have some scammers looking for money or green cards, and the usual assortment of married men looking for s*x, a few less than honest people, a handful of internet bullies in the blogs, but how I handle all this is just ignore them. I don't answer their blogs or messages or reply to their insults. I just log in and see what's happening and interact with people I like.

Nile, I hope you continue to post more of your interesting blogs here. I come from a family that was steeped in politics but I have little or no interest in the subject although I do enjoy some of the political debates and blogs here. I always read Maisie's posts. They are my guilty pleasure
