CAN YOU MAKE YOUR WISHES COME TRUE?

I was reading someone's blog the other day and a guy had a wish to sail away and once his wife died, he remarried and did so. The deceased wife thought it was a pipe dream but clearly he really wanted to do it. Are there any dreams that you have that you will make come true if at all possible? What about things you want that unfortunately will never happen or will they?

I already fulfilled my biggest dream by having that European trip I took in 2014. It was my first trip in 20 years and I went to Paris and Barcelona and a Mediterranean cruise and England. Part of me would love to move to Italy and have gorgeous views every day. Will it ever happen? Unlikely. Time will tell.

Pics from my trip:

1. Venice, Italy
2. Dubrovnik, Croatia
3.. Villefranche, France

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!!!

Lovely photos Shuel!!

I have kind of a fuzzy bucket list..... If the stars align I would like to take a European river cruise, but as I'm content with my life, if it doesn't happen I'm not bothered.

Beautiful photos, Elaine.... I had to think about Villefranche and then I remembered Villefranche-sur-Mer on the French Riviera (oh so many years ago) when my hubby & I were stationed in France (& Germany). What a beautiful spot!! We had also been to Venice but not to Croatia. Thanks for the memories!!

Thanks Rocket. That sounds like something that can come true. If you want it badly enough, I would think you can do it. I hope you get to.

Thanks Salsa. Villefranche is one of the lovely places I got to see on my trip. Croatia turned out to be beautiful too. We went to Dubrovnik and Cavtat. I hope you get to visit Croatia in the future.

My dream I want to come true right now is getting this pool finished before the end of summer so I can swim!! Being Texas, I'll probably get to swim until the end of October. My dreams of traveling right now are at a stand still, except a road trip to visit my big brother out in Florida in September and go fishing with him. Other than that, I'm just happy to wake up everyday.

No, I doubt I'll be returning to Europe anytime soon. The reason we could not visit any of those countries like Croatia back then was because of the high security clearance my husband maintained with the military.

I think those dreams will come true, Rae. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thank you, Maura. I never knew anything about Croatia until my trip and I was surprised at how beautiful it was. Venice was great but I had expected it to be wonderful.

I encourage everyone to chase that dream before it is too late and they are left with regrets for what they did not do. Glad you got to take that trip.

You hit the nail on the head, Pat. That's exactly why I took it. I have a fear of flying and didn't take a trip for 20 years at that point. I realized there might come a time where I would not be able to travel and regret not going to certain countries that I always wanted to visit. I took the trip and I am thrilled I did so.
