HAVE YOU MELLOWED WITH AGE?

I try not to let things get to me as much as they used to. I don't think that I have mellowed but there is still time for me to do so. What about you?

I won't be around tomorrow at least not early in the day. I am having a colonoscopy and a scope. Yes, it's a day that I am really not looking forward to. However, a colonoscopy may have saved my dad's life so it is important.

Here there is one day of prep and that's what I have been doing. Good luck with your physical tomorrow, Ranger.

No. Mentally and emotionally I am pretty much the same as always but my body has other ideas so I can't do nearly as many things as I used to..

I'm pretty much the same as I always was, in spirit anyway lol. Easy going and slow to anger.

Good luck tomorrow, Elaine

Sounds like you have mellowed, Rocket. I wonder if it's retirement that mellows people versus age. Thanks for your response.

That's true in theory, Lucy. I wanted to see if it actually is true in reality. Thanks for your comment.

No, I don't believe I've mellowed with age; I've just become less tolerant of idiots LOL.
Good luck with your procedure. Yes, it is absolutely necessary, I agree!!

Hi Elaine: I think I'm less mellow now than when I was younger. Hope your procedure went o.k. Did they put you to sleep? I had it done when I lived in New York and was wide awake through it.

This is how things start here. Lulu made a comment and then it got turned nasty. No need for that.

I don't think I have mellowed though there are things that I try to now dwell on. I guess that means I have mellowed a touch. I may mellow out more as I age.

My dad died of colon cancer so yes, I do feel a colonoscopy may save your life. I had 2 polyps again. I seem to get them every time I do one. Anyhow that's really the point. They cut them out before they can cause damage. I slept throughout the test so I was happy about that.

Those things you said you try not to do are things I have always tried not to do. Not letting things get to you is a good thing. I have improved a bit on that but still have a far way to go. Thanks for your comment, RosesLady.

Interesting how some mellowed and others have become less tolerant. Then again, I think one could be both. If I am honest with myself, there are times I don't have the patience I used to have regarding certain things. In other things, I have let things pass that before would have gotten to me. Thanks for your reply, FrenchSalsa. It got me thinking and I like that.

I call that mellowed, Pat. It is good because it makes things less stressful so that's healthy.

I am very sorry about your friend. Yes, the point is that most colon cancers begin with polyps. They found 2 polyps yesterday and got rid of them. Ever since my dad was diagnosed, we were told to have them and I usually get polyps and have to go again in 3 years. Unfortunately when my dad was alive, we didn't realize how important it was and neither did he. Those who avoid them, might one day be wishing they could go back and have them.

Thanks for your important comment, Pat.

Everyone is different. Some seem to mellow out but others don't. Thanks as far as the colonoscopy but I hope you decide to check about having it done. It's not to late to take the test or to go for a physical at your doctor. Thanks for your comment, JustAFewAgn.
