WOMEN HAVE YOU EVER LIED ABOUT YOUR AGE? MEN HAVE YOU EVER LIED ABOUT YOUR HEIGHT?

I was just reading a post and it talked about women lying about their age. I have never lied about my age. I will be 58 in Sept. Unless something strange happens, I don't intend to ever lie about it. It is what it is. So ladies, you don't have to answer this question in regards to what age it shows here but have you ever lied about your age? Men, do you lie about yours or think that women are lying about their age?

When I owned a dating service, the lie I saw most often was from men lying about their height. Men, have you ever lied about your height?

Hi Elaine...I have never lied bout my age. I don't see the point in it and sooner or later you would be found out about it. On dating sites I have met guys that stretched the truth about a few things. I don't think height was one of them. Age quite often is lied about.

Only to get into the movies. I always said I was older than I was. When I was a teen I looked older so said I was 18 to get in to the X rated ones. When I was around 50 my husband who was 10 years older started getting the senior discount. The money made more of a difference then than now. One time I looked around and saw that most of the theater employees were kids and probably had no idea what a senior was so we started getting 2 senior tickets and were never doubted.

Around the same time I decided to "prank" a kid I was sharing a lane with at the community pool. He made some comment and I responded "not bad for a 70 year old, is it.." He seemed a bit confused but gave no indication he doubted me. Finally I burst old laughing and confessed that I was not 70 but willing to bet I was older than his mother.

I'm like Spirit, I added on a couple of years. I got married when I was 19, but I couldn't go out dancing and have a drink with my husband until I was 21.

I never lie about my age or my height.

I lie about how much money I have.

I read somewhere that a survey of dating sites found men were mainly interested in how attractive a woman is, and women were interested in how wealthy a man is.

Ergo, I lie about money.

That's interesting that you found men usually lie about their age. Thanks for your comment, Shartaun03.

Yes I agree, "honesty is the best policy". It's good you were wise enough to not be taken in by that guy, investor1. Thanks for participating on this post.

It isn't lying about your age if one assumed you were a senior and gave you a discount. It would only be lying if they asked you and you said you were one. Adding years to your age. I never thought about, that but yes, I get it. Thanks for that response, Spirit.

I rarely look at the ages of those who respond to my posts. I didn't know you were turning 60 Diane so Happy Birthday in advance, in case I forget to wish you.

That's good, Diane. Given you said everyone knows it anyhow, why have a different age showing?

All I know is one woman was the exact same age for 3 years.
That one of the reasons it makes no sense. Why do that and make people aware that you are lying? Thanks for your comment, Leaf.

I am actually quite surprised that you lie about anything, rentier. You seem very direct and honest, despite the fact we have a different viewpoint about certain things. Yes, I heard about men lying about their income too, but height seemed to be the primary lie told. Thanks for your comment.

Ok, now I am truly shocked. I was thinking about who I expected to say they never lied about their age. I definitely expected you to say something about never lying about it. That's funny what you told your grandchild. Why did you pick 37 as opposed to 35 or 30? You are still full of surprises, Pat.

You have to remember that when a guy lies about his age before meeting the woman, he can get away with it. His goal is to get that date and then hope she likes him despite the lie about his height. How come you keep calling rentier, Bike? I never noticed that until the other day. Thanks for your comment, Roxy.

Everyone is free to do as they please, Diane. I don't pay that much attention to the ages listed, but honestly, I assumed they were accurate. Thanks for your comment.
