WHERE WOULD YOU GO? If money and health wasn't an issue, where would be your favorite place to go for a week or longer? I would go back to Italy. I would probably stay in a central location so I can see Capri, Positano and back to Venice. I had to give up Capri in order to see the Amalfi Coast in 2014. It probably was a good decision but I'd like to see Capri. I wouldn't take a cruise this time. I would spend at least 4 days at each city. How about you? I have said this before and I will again. I've been twice to Italy, I like Rome and Venice very much, but next time I would like to visit Capri. I love Switzerland and Holland which have always been on our European tours. Thank you for this blog, Elaine, have a nice day. Lisa.

I've passed through Italy and enjoyed it, but if I had the chance, I would love to visit the city of Taiping in Malaya. I served there for a while when I was in the military and I just fell in love with the place and its surroundings. Alfie...

Hi Elaine, Sydney, Australia and I would love to visit again. We were there in January and really loved it. The 26 hour journey is very gruelling though.

Oh yes, I remember you saying that about Joe's family. Rhodes is beautiful. I was never there but my sister was and loved it. I am disappointed you didn't mention Canada. Just teasing though Vancouver and Banff are gorgeous. Thanks for your response, Pat. Elaine Shuel

Roxy, I have met wonderful people from Sweden and Holland on that virtual site I belong to. Sweden is part of Scandinavia so I would like to see that one day too. Make sure if you go, you take great pics and post them here. Thanks for your response. Elaine Shuel

There is no doubt that the world is a scary place. I don't remember it ever being quite so bad as it is now. It would be wise for anyone considering a trip anywhere these days, to determine if it is safe to go. A very thought provoking comment, MySeek. Thank you. Elaine Shuel

This will sound crazy but I would love to visit the ancient sites where civilization began. Unfortunately most are in the war torn middle east so being able to visit would involve more than money and health. Spiritwoman ^i^

I lived in Italy for a year and couldn't stand it. That would be dead last on my list...but happy you enjoy it nevertheless. I would love to go to Africa. It's my dream to see Victoria Falls. I don't think I'm going to make it...but that is #1 on my list. What didn't you like about Italy? Yes, I am a curious person.  I hope you get to take your dream trip. LIszt, none of us are getting any younger but a river cruise sounds nice to me too. I never took a river one. My cruise was on a big ship, where you book excursions separately or do them on your own. I hope you and Maisie go on another great adventure. Thanks for your comment. Elaine Shuel

Just a word of advice, Rubi. In 2014 I saw the Louvre and Musee d"Orsay. I went to the latter since my sister-in-law went to France months before. She found Musee d"Orsay better. I agree that it was. The Louvre is more well known because of the Mona Lisa. If you have time, try to see both. Thanks for your comment. Elaine Shuel
