SOMETHING I FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT

There is something that's always bothered me in the legal system. To me, the punishment should fit the crime. I just read about a woman who is the youngest mass murderer in Canada. At age 12, her and her boyfriend killed her parents and brother due to problems caused by her dating an older man. She is getting paroled next spring and will be out after only 10 years. Three people, her family no less, are dead and she got a total of 10 years? That disgusts me.

It reminds me of when I was a . My mother felt we should stand up for ourselves. A male friend and I had an argument. He hit me. I hit him back. His grandmother came on the balcony since he was crying. She yelled at me about how I could hit a younger . I was about 1 year older but shorter and a girl. I answered that if he's old enough to hit me, he was old enough to get hit back. Know what? She respected my answer and never bothered me again.

It's sad that if a does something unspeakable, their punishment is significantly less due to age. The boyfriend was given a life sentence with no chance of parol for 25 years. That's what she should have received, in my opinion. What do you think?

I think she was 12 years old.

Elaine, it's ironic that my previous reply was banned for those reasons because the blog was about an under age girl who m*rdered someone. lol

I'm confused. I thought I read and responded to your comment. I didn't know they ban comments afterwards. Sorry bijou. I hope you know that I didn't do it.

Elaine I read about that the other day. The article said she was going through all the motions to rehabilitate herself to become a better person. I don't understand a girl at 12 years of age how she could have committed the murderous acts just because she wanted to get her way and have a B/F of 23. I recalled when that happened and didn't understand what the girl was thinking and I probably never will. I don't recall what kind of a home she was raised in. There has to be something wrong with todays society to commit that kind of a murderous act at the tender age of 12.

Yes I agree, Shartaun03. I might get attacked for saying this but I think it's because children are being spoiled, for the most part. Obviously not all parents spoil their kids but certainly many of them do. So if the kid wants something and can't get it, they want to eliminate what gets in their way. Naturally not many would go to the extreme of killing someone to do so but some have done that. Thanks for your comment, Shartaun03.

My response was not informational.

It was the answer to your question.

Ah I see. You meant that because she was 12, you're fine with her sentence. Alright, we disagree but you are certainly entitled to have that view. Thanks for your comment, Rentier.
