Definitely. Perhaps a sign of changing social structure. I find it a most welcome as I, like many others here, approach a time in life when our physical mobility may be limited. I'm not there yet but the idea that I can still have contact with people when and if that time arrives makes it seem less threatening.. Spiritwoman ^i^

Some people are just very close minded. Those are the ones that say that online friends are not real friends. I have had phone friends that were very close to me too. It's great that we could have great friendships, with those we never met in person. Thanks for your comment, Pat. Elaine Shuel

I have met a few in person and certainly not as many as maybe Pat, Alfie and Ann. I think there was a get together in Vancouver a long time ago. It was either before my time or shortly after. At that time everyone met in the chat room which was only one room at the beginning. So that is where you got to know everyone. Now I think a number of people meet through blogs. I have corresponded with a number of people via private mail and now some through FB. They all seem like friends even though you have never met face to face.

I agree with other's comments. We may have not met face to face but still are considered friends. We even got to meet Robyn in Ireland...something we had hoped to one day do. People, if at all possible go to Bashes and Get-togethers to meet our SFF family. So many people get the impression that "meeting" online is wrong or not possible to form lasting friendships. Hog wash....!!!

Welcome to my blog, tahasan. Perhaps I will meet some of the people here in person one day. That said, they are my friends even if we never meet. As far as my passionate man, I have my boyfriend for that. Thanks for your comment. Elaine Shuel

Thanks so much fore everything, Dianne. You never have to apologize for saying what you have. You are very articulate and it's a pleasure to read whatever you write. When you talk about multiple handles, as a PSO, I have had several characters I play. It is interesting being different people but sometimes a bit complicated. On SFF, I'm happy just being myself.
