What's on your bucket list? I actually dislike the term "bucket list". However, travelling to the countries I did on my European vacation last year, would fit into that category. Those are places I wanted to see during my lifetime, so I went. I wanted to get my driver's license and completed it at the ripe old age of 55. I'd love to write a long novel that makes me wealthy, another Fifty Shades Of Grey but that's not too likely. I want to lose weight and know what it's like to be my ideal weight. Other than that, I don't really have anything I want to do. That may change in the future. Do you have a bucket list? Would you like to share yours with us? Elaine Shuel |

An island in Japan sounds nice, boogie. I've never been to the Orient but I'm sure it would be an interesting to visit. Thanks for your comment. Elaine Shuel

Wow Elaine congrats on getting your driver's license. Hey that is an accomplishment so it should be on your bucket list. I have driven since my 20's so it seems like eons ago since I got my driver's license. At the moment I don't have a bucket list as you call it. I like to think that each day is a gift to me. We never know how long we are going to be around. So you have to live your life to the full.

Those items most on my bucket list at present are the development of a couple of commercial ventures that i am working on at this time. One is an invention that is in development. The second is introducing a US product line into Italy (my wife's former home). I have traveled and will continue to do. Good blog. I enjoyed reading the goals of others. Elaine Shuel

The reason I didn't go for my driver's license sooner, is because my dad didn't let my older sister drive his car. He let our older brother drive his car but he didn't let her. I saw she learned how to drive and then forgot how. I didn't see any point in learning if I would have no car to drive. Eventually, my sister took a refresher course and bought her own car. I lost job opportunities and felt bad about not being able to drive. When I was 45, I went to driving school but had a bad time with a teacher that told me on the first lesson that I wasn't good at it. He said I would need double the lessons. I went home and cried. I later had an online friend who once worked at a driving school and he said that was a scam to get people to pay extra. My license then got delayed by our moving, my mother's brain tumor among other things. Oh well, better late than never!!! My sister always says that I am persistent and don't give up. It's great that you don't feel like you are missing out on anything you want to accomplish. Thanks Pat. Elaine Shuel

Elaine most people would not admit that they didn't get their driver's license at your age. You are to be commended for doing that. I learned by taking driving lessons. I was taught the right way. Nowadays one has to be defensive when it comes to driving as there are so many crazy drivers out there. But I enjoy my independence and will drive as long as I can.

I just wish for continued good health for me and hubby because that's the most important thing of all. There are still some countries in Europe that we want to visit for the first time and a lot of others that that we will return in the next year or two. Iceland and Turkey will be new destinations for us later this year. Other than the travelling I don't have a bucket list as such. Congratulations on getting your drivers license and well done

There are definitely some nuts driving on the road. When my boyfriend took over my driving lessons, someone was on a cell phone and cut me off and didn't even notice. Luckily, I moved the car out of the way. Elaine Shuel

That "city thing" is something that I am acquainted with having grown up with that residual bias against people that lived in towns by people that lived in the country. I obviously grew up on a farm and lived in the country. I have had time to re-examine that viewpoint and have come to believe, for myself, that this was based in prejudicial ignorance. It was an attempt by those living in the country to attempt to elevate themselves. How sad and how deplorable as I view it today. Elaine Shuel
