What's your first name? My name is Elaine and when I answer someone who is kind enough to respond to my blog posts, I prefer using their first names. The problem is that I don't know most of your real first names. I'd like to offer a suggestion. When we reply to a post, we put our first names if it isn't already automatically there. I noticed my replies show my name but for those that don't, I hope you put it in your response. Of course, it's up to you if you don't want people to know your real name, it's not a requirement. I should add that I would have asked you to list your names here, but honestly, I wouldn't remember your answers. lol Elaine Shuel |

I think those who's names appear automatically use it as a signature. There is a place to enter a permanent signature. I use my symbol ^i^ as my signature. It is something I have used for years as a trade mark for my creative work and has a spiritual reference for me. Just call me Spirit like everyone else does. Spiritwoman ^i^

I've never been offended by seeing others call each other by their first names. I write comments and I've wanted to do the same but didn't know their names. I could see your point though but I look at it as I want to get to know everyone better. My aim isn't to make anyone divulge private info that they don't want to give out. Thanks for commenting, Maisie. Elaine Shuel

Thanks Pat. I could understand how it might be hard to change what we call someone, after we get used to calling them something else. If I revert back to MrsJoe, as my memory isn't what it used to be, I'm sure you'll understand. Elaine Shuel

Hi Elaine: My real name is Francesca, but early on I realized that only other Italian people seemed able to pronounce it or spell it, so I started using the name Francine instead. Bijou was the name of my darling little dog who passed away a few years ago.

Bijou was the name of my darling little dog who passed away a few years ago. What I was really hoping from this post is that when someone makes a comment, they will include their first name so we don't have to keep using someone's handle. I doubt that will happen. Oh well.
