Dear Parents "We have decided to make grading Progressive. If your scores 100% on a test, 50% will be distributed to students who sore below 40%. If you does the Extra Credit Test and scores another 100%, 75% will be distributed." It's not that original, but it would help. More so than the day-care Universities who are toying with, among other things, letting students have the grade they THINK they deserve. |

Or, if you want to go all-out-Socialist, start the distribution with 90% of the 100.

I remember occasionally in grade school that one of our teachers would grade "on the curve"...... but that only happened when everyone did horrible on a test. I guess that way some of us still got a passing grade.... I never thought it was fair though, even though it gave me a passing grade. I believed I should earn it, not be given it just because it was higher than some of the others. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
