"Drink a cup of kindness"

Well, not really. This last election reminds me of a "time gone by". A history professor saying that the election cycle we were in was the chance to repudiate or reinforce the "New Deal". Fortunately, Ronnie won.

We seem to have done it again, halting the slide into a fantasy of a New World Order: No borders. Free this and that. Everything which isn't verboten is mandatory. Not my kind of paradigm.

So, I raise my glass, take a stiff jolt, and steel myself to take grubers (kicking, screaming, rioting, shooting and whining) into the future. A future in which traditional American values of hard work, self-reliance and a modicum of self-control can result in the achievement of The Dream. Made all the sweeter because they've done it themselves.

Happy New Year

    Quoting Fossil_Fetcher:
Think about the amount of energy they spend kicking, shooting, rioting, screaming and whining. If they'd dedicate the same amount of energy to making a life for themselves we'd once again be the greatest nation on Earth.

Oh how true!!! I'm pretty isolated from all that kind of stuff........ our area is redneck, hard work and hard play land. The worst we have is some lazy folks who want to take advantage of the system and get their share of the free stuff.
And there are even hard working liberals, who have to be somewhat taken back by those kicking, shooting, rioting, screaming, and whining snowflakes!
But maybe, just maybe we are going to see our country start to pull itself back into place.
So pass me a glass of whatever you guys are having..... I'll drink to that!
